While the three you name are the likely contenders, if it were Santorum it would be fine.

Agree. I like Santorum I just don't think his campaign is ever going to get off the ground. Shame.

I was turned off by Newt but the more he talks the better I like him, the country could do a lot worse than electing a smart conservative who is always coming up with plenty of new ideas...

I’d like to see how Cain does in the primaries. Other than that...well, I’d like to see how Cain does in the primaries. Because other than that, I think we’re in deep s**t.

Perhaps she would make a great Sect’y of Energy. I’m sure we haven’t heard the last from her.

Rick Perry...raised 17.1 million in 49 days...doesn't have a black chip on his shoulder...we've had that in our WH don't need it again...Perry has governed a state larger than most countries with the 13th largest world economy...he has made his mistakes but at least he has a record of governing a state for 11 years, we can look at. He'll go in and immeidately start giving this country back to you and me. He is a big states rights man. He is the best 2nd amendment man running...in fact, we've not had a recent president as strong as him with the 2nd amendment.

When the MSM goes after one person as they have Perry...then you know he is the one they are most afraid of. IF the MSM gives men a pass like Romney and Cain...that should throw up red flags for everyone.

Sarah was our only chance.
Cain played the race card against Perry and supported TARP, I’d buy a pizza from him but that’s about it. Perry is slightly more conservative than Romney, depending on the day. Bachmann’s campaign staff is down to around 4 people so something rotten is happening there that we don’t know about.

Thanks a lot Sarah.

If it helps, both Art Laffer and Steve Forbes have praised the 999 plan, mostly because of the complete restructure of the corrupt system that would be involved. It would be a good step towards a flat tax or fair tax system.

You are right, it is a risk without 16th repeal, however, if we have such a fundamental change that we could get to the 999, that would represent a fundamental change that could be a wave across all government entities.

I'm behind who ever gets there. Any of the ones you listed will be fine and better than the marxist socialist liberal democrat from who knows where.

Bachmann or Cain. Rep Bachmann still needs to give more attention to detail and both need to show they can raise money.

From Herman Cain’s background, Cain has the brightest mind for the job. Maybe he will be smart enough to select Sarah Palin as his running mate.

I’m looking at Newt.

From a policy and experience perspective I agree. I am just afraid that the baggage will sink him like an albatross around his neck.

Santorum couldn’t even win his senate seat in PA.
Don’t think he’s ready for primetime.

Sir,

I’ve always loved Bachmann and did my best to try to defend her against the attacks of others. What has done her in so far has been the fact that she never progressed beyond the talking points to a substantiave plan like Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 or Sarah’s 0 Corporate Rate. She had a very small window to craft this after she won the straw poll and Rick Perry got into the race. She didn’t do it, and as a result lost a lot of her support to Perry. And unfortunately, even after going hard on Perry, the support he lost did not return to Bachmann. I still like her and hope she can rebound sometime, but her moment may have passed. I hope when all is said and done, if she does have to return to the House that the incoming 2012 members shake up the House leadership.

Cain seems pretty good. He came out with ideas, has had a few stumbles, but nothing I would consider a death gaffe. I just hope he has the money to stay around and compete.

Gingrich, is well, Gingrich. His sheer intelligence on the issues always puts him in the top tier of debate performances. When he’s on target, he on it. Perry was onto something about the whole molding Cain-Gingrich into one guy. It’s just he’s got that personal and political baggage that a lot of people find impossible to accept.

My Top 3
Cain/Bachmann (whomever has the Mo come IA Caucus time)
Perry/Gingrich (stuck between these two, not excited)

No way I would vote Romney, Huntsman, Johnson, or Paul. Santorum is a weaker version of Gingrich.
