Meet “Lily” the starving muppet.
Here’s something else Barack Obama and democrats can be proud of.
With a record number of Americans on food stamps, record unemployment, increased debt and record poverty, Sesame Street will introduce a poor, starving muppet to educate on the growing number of starving children in Obama’s America.

Sesame Street has a new muppet who is hungry for more than just cookies.
The iconic kids show is set to unveil a new impoverished puppet named Lily, whose family faces an ongoing struggle with hunger issues. Lily will be revealed in a one-hour Sesame Street primetime special, Growing Hope Against Hunger, which is being sponsored by Walmart. The special will star country singer Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams Paisley, as well as the Sesame Street Muppets.
“Food insecurity is a growing and difficult issue for adults to discuss, much less children,” said the Paisleys in a statement. “We are honored that Sesame Street, with its long history of tackling difficult issues with sensitivity, caring and warmth asked us to be a part of this important project.”
The special will share the stories of real-life families to raise awareness of hunger issues in the United States, as well as strategies that have helped these families find food.
The solution? Send in the Swedish Chef muppet!
Sell the TV and disconnect the cable, so you can feed the children!!!!!!!

How about an aids riddled butt-pirate muppet? So that kids can learn the effects of being a homosexual.
This is simply brainwashing. The article states there are a record number of Americans on foodstamps. So who exactly is starving? Will this muppet have a single mother who is somehow impaired from using the foodstamps wisely? Besides substance abuse or mental illness from the parent(s), why would a child go hungry in America today?
I would suspect the above case won’t be the picture portrayed to the children.

They want us to starve because they hate people who look different from them. There is a great man in the White House named Barack Obama who wants to help us, but he is being stopped by these mean people. Tell your parents to support the great socialist revolution! Together we can take the money from all the greedy rich Republicans and Jews on Wall Street and my family will be able to eat.

Not starving, no. Because even diehard welfare activists don’t pretend like the U.S. has a starvation problem. They’ll use the vaguer term “hungry,” but that’s also overdoing it, as we associate World Hunger with the distended bellies of African children. Welcome the euphamism “food insecurity,” which makes up what it lacks in drama by being hard to pin down. Using it, activists are free to pretend occasional uncertainty about future food—whether or not it is eventually eaten—is the moral equivalent of starvation.
My lib sister always moaned about starving kids. She told me that I didn’t know what it was like to have your daughter say that she was hungry. She said that her daughter would cry, “Mommy, I’m so hungry!” and there was nothing in the house to feed her.
I looked at her and said, “You had nothing in the house to eat, yet you smoked full priced Salems and drank Diet Coke? Why didn’t you spend the .99, skip a cola and get some Mac and Cheese?”
She said I just didn’t understand.
Where’s the starving children? I keep hearing about them but haven’t seen any yet. The only ones I see are in Africa and North Korea.

Which has nothing to do with how many people are starving...err, I mean “food insecure.” Food stamps don’t buy food, as we all know, since its dependents would be buying food anyway.
Actually, they are toying with the idea...or may already HAVE done it...of an HIV-infected Muppet. The story is the little darling got HIV through a blood transfusion. It’s supposed to teach kids that HIV-infected people are “just like the rest of us”.
