It's "mic check" - I have seen individuals do that at all their GA (General Assembly) events - it's done to get the group leader's attention ... it threw me the first few times I saw it too, but, if you've ever 'done' (set up for use) an event with a PA system then you realize the utility of using those words when doing stage setup and testing the mics with the board operator setting levels on the PA mixer ...
Hear it, say it, act it, smell it.....all they are missing is the writing it. The best way to remember anything is to involve all the senses.

He even commented on the Atlanta General Assembly’s group consensus process saying “this is not something strange or out of the ordinary for me,” and he was “not at all” disappointed he wasn’t able to adress the Assembly.
With a facilitator, the Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, sounds exactly like that. The facilitator says a phrase and the others it while tapping on one of a number of special points on the head and upper body. The purpose of EFT is to exorcize negative emotions, and it actually seems to have that effect for many people. This EFT video exemplifies that rhythm.
I would be interested to know what the non-tapping, mind control technique is called and where it originated.

Take a close look at this. Based on some of the other posts in the thread, this technique is being used at other venues. It appears to be some sort of groupthink crowd control method. There’s nothing like controlling a mob of zombies.
On a different but related topic, I’d love to know more about the guy in the red shirt controlling the mic.
Yep, there is some already-mature cult presence at that venue. I’ll keep my eyes open for it elsewhere.
Check out a few minutes of this rally, and the mind control chant-and-repeat used. Pretty scary stuff. I wonder if some local cult showed up and owned the microphone, or if this brainwashing technique exists elsewhere in their “movement.”

I saw excerpts from the Occupy demonstrations on FOX News this morning while Liz Trotta was doing a commentary on them. Sure enough, the same chanting and hand waving, although I couldn’t tell if it was repeat-after-me chanting like in Atlanta, or even whether it was the Atlanta group. It looked like a different time of day, however.

Despite their weird rules of engagement, it seems to me that the Flea Party has more in common with the Tea Party than with the Obama/Wall Street/Demopublican/Congressional complex. Unfortunately they still see big government — if only they could control it — as the solution.
