WH Budget Official: Oh, We Made Far Worse Loans Than Solyndra
Townhall. ^ | October 10, 2011 | Guy Benson

Posted on 10/10/2011 6:09:08 PM PDT by george76

Happy Monday, Obama administration. According to a new tranche of emails obtained by ABC News, the political wreckage of the Solyndra scandal could get significantly more grisly before all is said and done. In one particularly incriminating note, a staffer at the White House's Office of Management and Budget candidly frets that "bad days" lie ahead :

Emails released earlier this month show that at least one official of the Office of Management and Budget worried that Solyndra was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to ill-conceived government loans to green energy companies. “(W)hat’s terrifying is that after looking at some of the ones that came next, this one [Solyndra] started to look better,” the official emailed. “Bad days are coming.”

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Government on October 7 wrote to Energy Secretary Dr. Steven Chu to see just what other problematic loans might exist. Specifically, Issa is seeking “additional information regarding the loans approved on the final day of the program,” ones made to First Solar Inc, SunPower Corp., and ProLogis Inc.

The questions clearly suggest the concern that the Department of Energy officials in charge of the loan program did not conduct due diligence before sending billions in loan guarantees out the door — a concern that seems to have been shared by officials of the Department of Management and Budget.

...

Obama's vision helps explain why even more hefty federal loans continue to fly out the door -- despite internal and external due diligence worries -- to politically-connected "green" companies, including one with substantial ties to Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law.

We’re quickly learning what Barry REALLY meant when he was talking about “green” jobs.

IMPEACH OBAMA. Expose him for the fraud he is. He is absolutely out of control and has America on the fast track to insolvency.

So the new meme will be “See, Solyndra wasn’t so bad! But good luck finding the other crapola we buried.”

WHAT THE HELL, it’s just the taxpayer’s money. WHO CARES?

It’s not like THEY have any skin in the game to lose sleep over.

Besides, what’s a few billion dollars, compared to the GLORY OF OBAMA, the lord and master?

We may be talking the biggest level of potential financial embezzlement since William Magear “Boss” Tweed ran the Tammany Society of New York City between 1858 and 1871—ouch!

According to Forbes, the Toronto Maple Leafs are the most valuable team in the NHL at $505 million. The US government just blew even more than the whold Maple Leaf team on a loan to one lousy company. Even if there was no illegality, the cavalier attitude toward taxpayer money is disgusting.

They are purposefully trying to destroy this country. Remember the revolution they want; this is part of it. Divide, destroy & then deny.

The sheer amount of money looted from the taxpayers by this administration is really astounding... I read somewhere that there were roughly 14 million unemployed in the US. Just from "porkulous" spending the government could have written 14,000,000 checks to every unemployed person in the US for... Wait for it... $57,000 each... Imagine, the unemployment problem in the US solved in one, fell swoop. But there's a problem... If the government were to do this, there would be no graft, no extra payments to "friends," no special gifts for special people, no bribes. No special friends who can siphon off thousands of dollars for every dollar that goes to the supposed target.

Of course, I'm completely against the government just giving tax payer money away like this, but this example shows just how corrupt this administration is.

and, they “con-veen-iently” (best church lady accent) forget that the leftists in Congress forced the banks to make all those lousy loans, including Bawney Fwank, whose lover of the moment worked or either Fanny or Freddie.

Forget which one, and what position, but was a higher-up.

I dont want him impeached, that pretends that he has a right to be a president. The guy is a Marxist imposter and needs to be put in prison for life.

If he is removed from the presidency as a criminal imposter every law he signed into effect becomes null and void.

If we continue to pretend he is president and impeach him it will take decades to unravel his very concerted efforts to destroy this country.

Pelosi needs to be brought up in trial as a Traitor along with Barny Frank for their aiding and abeting this Marxist takeover by a Muslim in a time of war with Islam. All players in this game need to get Justice served, with prison for them all.

We should all be a little worried that the Solyndra Scandal will be the LSM’s choice for Not Fast and Furious. F&F is criminal activity without a doubt. They will write off Solyndra to bureaucratic incompetence and the story will die. In the meantime ABC et al can claim they are covering the Obama scandals while the hope that their non-coverage of Fast and Furious will kill it as well.

We can’t let that happen.

The Ulsterman Report of Oct.11 warned more is coming and that fear is mounting among those who benefited. Immediately I thought of Pelosi. Fiction or not, the hints of coming events and likely implosion does seem to coming together. I enjoy checking it out simply for the lift it provides, after days and days of doubling down on all Marx, all the time.

Oh, what a wonderful thing to admit to...

Incompetent or just plain stupid...

It’s a toss up for me...Either way the quicker we neuter this administration, and send as many elected liberals onto the street, the better...

They can go Occupy whatever they want, all they want, whenever they want at that time...
