"When a Negro girl learns to cook, to wash dishes, to sew, to write a book, or a Negro boy learns to groom horses, or to grow sweet potatoes, or to produce butter, or to build a house, or to be able to practice medicine, as well or better than someone else, they will be rewarded regardless of race or color. In the long run, the world is going to have the best, and any difference in race, religion or previous history will not long keep the world from what it wants. ... The (future of my race hinges on whether) it can make itself of such indispensable value that the people .. . where we reside will feel that our presence is necessary to the happiness and well-being of the community. No man who continues to add something to the material, intellectual and moral well-being of the place in which he lives is long left without proper reward. This is a great human law which cannot be permanently nullified."
Really great post. His words have genuine depth and sweet, sweet truth.
It's for the same reasons all the others, including Palin and Christie, have dropped out or will drop out: Money and Organization, but mostly, it's all about the money.
To him, Romney is the anointed next president and no matter who challenges or how well they do, they are merely aiding the inevitable: republican nominee Mitt Romney.
He believes that only Perry has the money to beat him. For now.
But in the end, it won't matter. We'll all suck it up and vote for Mitt so obama loses.
Ruined my evening listening to his spiel, as there is a lot of truth to his premise that money is absolutely essential to a campaign. I also see nominee Mitt increasing the chances of a third party.
Do "they" underestimate the hunger for a conservative to vote for? Or do they fear it? Or...?
I held my nose and voted Palin/McCain.
I will never vote for Romney.
He is not merely a RINO. He is an enemy to moral values, conservatism, and Americanism.
It is his kind we are fighting against. And I will not welcome a traitor into our camp.
“Cain can win, and the recent polls prove it.”
You betcha!
Save yourself some heartburn and do what I do, just tune out BOR. I only watch the factor when I know Laura Ingraham is hosting. I just can't take Ted Baxter and his ego anymore.
It didn’t help that McLame took a few weeks off the campaign to vote on TARP and that whenever Sarah got in a good shot the campaign reigned her in. McPain just needs to retire already, anytime he shows up on Hannity (nearly every week it seems) , I end up screaming at my TV. I can’t look at him without thinking that he’s a huge part of the reason we have Barky in the WH now.
The RINOs and country club republicans would rather go down in flames than put in a real conservative. It seems that we're the same to the RNC as blacks are to the DNC. They know we won't go anywhere, they pay us lip service but at the end of the day we're shunted aside as they pander to the so-called independents and "moderates" (and lately the mythical GOP hispanic vote)
Please someone tell me Elder isn’t an establishment Republican for Romney...I like him too much, but disagree on this.
I gave up due the monster ego 7 or 8 years ago.
