DNC chair: GOP 'hoping for failure' on economy

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed on Sunday that Republicans were “hoping for failure” on the economy so they could score a win against Democrats in 2012.

Republicans on Capitol Hill have vehemently opposed the entirety of President Barack Obama’s jobs bill. House Republicans have said the legislation as a whole was dead on arrival, while all Senate Republicans have voted on a key procedural vote to block the jobs bill from moving forward.

“It’s so irresponsible for them to allow the economy to just remain stagnant,” the Democratic congresswoman from Florida said of the GOP in an interview with CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union.”

Hoping for? It’s already happened. It’s called Obamanomics.

She's right. The people will hold the GOP responsible unless they stop Obama before he kills again.

Standard Obama Administration M.O. When things go good then take all the credit no matter whos idea it was but when their best laid plans hit the fan then blame it all on the Republicans although the Dems sponsored and implemented it. Then tell the MSM to pick it up and run it off into the ground for their pals in the WH.

We don't need to hope, we can be quite sure they will continue to screw things up.

All we need to do is stop them from hiding the facts or dodging the blame.

My hope all along was that the economy would improve in spite of Obama, but by now, everybody knows how that hope & change crap really works. We need to change Obama out to have any real hope.

If a trillion dollars couldn’t “fix” the economy, what makes anybody think that half a trillion will do anything positive? Regardless, I can’t believe the unions have gone through a trillion dollars in only two years.

So we need our Leadership reminding voters that Debbie and Dem, like- clones are half right. We want the Obama,Inc, "Agenda for Failure" to fail.

. Where the hell is our Leadership...they need to snap the Dem soundbites - in half - as soon as they are spoken. And our candidates need to respond as well!

Your right. This shyt sells. And sells well to the sheeple like the 99%ers who are dumb as a bed post.

The republicans are horrible at getting their message out and constantly allow the blame to be placed on them.

Anyone here from Rubio and the rest of the new tea party republicans?

...“It’s so irresponsible for them to allow the economy to just remain stagnant”...

If government officials had this much control over the economy no politician would ever lose reelection. Government, including RINO's, is the problem Ms Shultz, 'ya maroon!

Yeah, it’s kinda late to be hoping for a “failed” economy. That horse left the barn a long time ago. If anything, the GOP wants the horse to come back.

I’d like for the president to stop his endless attack on the US economy.

Rats twist that to their advantage and Big Media complies.

Personally, if it takes our economy staying in the crapper for another year to insure Obama’s defeat, that’s a bet I am willing to take. More short-term pain for some serious long-term gain! Particularly if it keeps the union construction trades folks eating into their unions “welfare funds.” All this “next stimulus” is all about is keeping the union goons and their families flush at the expense of the rest of the taxpayers.
