Baby Lisa’s mom: I was drunk when she vanished
MSNBC ^ | 10-17-2011 | Staff

In the latest twist in the case of a missing Kansas City infant, the child’s mother admitted that she was drunk on the night of her baby’s disappearance and expects to be arrested.

Breaking a nine-day silence, Deborah Bradley, the mother of missing 10-month-old Lisa Irwin, told NBC News about her behavior on the night Baby Lisa’s disappearance and her fear of possibly being arrested given the nature of the latest questioning by investigators.

“Judging on how the questioning went, that’s kind of the fear that I have,’’ Bradley told NBC’s Peter Alexander in an exclusive interview alongside the baby’s father, Jeremy Irwin, that aired on TODAY Monday. “The main fear is that if they arrest me, people are going to stop looking, and I’ll never see her again, and I’ll never know what happened.’’

We saw a video last week of her and some dude in a mini mart buying disposable diapers and a bottle of wine...so I am shocked she was drunk...now who was the guy she was with and what is his connection because it was not the hubby and I have not heard a single thing about his involvement with the investigation.

Yep...if I’m a suspect in a crime...the VERY first thing I’m gonna do is start giving interviews to the lamestream media, and telling them I’m about to be arrested.

I have actually read a few articles about this dissaperance. Now I know why I don’t follow these “baby [baby’s name here]” stories. I feel like a voyer. I feel like I’m reading a tabloid and getting way to interested in someone elses private life.

I’m going back to my old MO. I’ll “discover” the case when a jury announces a verdict. Then I can watch the real fun. The methodology the court uses to arrive at a verdict is something that does interest me and, more importantly, is something that can affect me. It matters to voters.

That poor little baby is probably dead, and the mom either did it(most probable) or knows who did.

“’No, no, no,’ she said. ‘If I thought there was a chance, I’d say it. I don’t think that alcohol changes a person enough to do something like that.’”

Guess *I* was wrong then, when I had my drunken lout of an ex removed by the police when he got all liquored up and abusive. Who knew that alcohol WASN’T the problem?

*SNORT*

And two other young ‘half-brothers’ in the house? Where are those Baby Daddies?

This chick is in a world-o-trouble, IMHO. Yeesh, these people! Prayers up for the baby girl.

I had an idea over the weekend.
What if this is all a scam?
With the Casey Anthony Case still fresh in peoples’ minds, what if they had someone, a relative maybe, take the baby and hide it for a time, maybe a couple of months.
Meanwhile, they get all sorts of ‘facetime’ on major TV networks and loads of sympathy, and possibly $$$$ for book or movie deals.
Then, all of a sudden, the baby ‘turns up’ at some firehouse or safe place where it appears to have been ‘turned in’ by the alleged kidnapper, anonymously of course..............

I believe from what I read that she has one son from the man she is still married to and the other boy belongs to Irwin.

One child is Deborah’s. She is still married to the father. He is in the military. Jeremy’s son is from a “previous relationship”. It was reported Jeremy was “ruthless” during the custody battle and he obviously won. I think the father had the “kidnapping” planned. Coincidence that the only time he worked the night shift was the night the baby is kidnapped? I don’t much believe in coincidences. IMHO he wanted to teach mom a lesson about getting drunk and neglecting the kids or he’s angling for custody of baby Lisa. The plan got out of control and now he can’t say, “sorry”.

—This case is staring to smell really fishy...—

They all do in one way or another. That is because EVERYONE’S activity looks suspicious when scrutinized within the context of a crime being committed. Even the completely innocent.

I’ve heard it said that if you followed the average person around for a couple of days you would think they were up to something.

When something like this happens, the media are on your doorstep, on your phones, and in your face. They will send the most sympathetic-looking reporter and they’ll park down the street waiting for you to run an errand if you quit answering the door. It is hard to say no when you are hurting and someone might help and they tell you that the more publicity this gets, the better the chances of finding your child. You don’t pass up any chance to get the word around. At least not if you’re innocent.

I hope and pray that this mother did not do anything to this child and she will be found alive soon, but let me tell you something about losing a child.

The parent, particularly the mother, always feels responsible (guilty) when a child dies. They feel deep down that it is their fault something they did or something they didn't do could have made the difference.

When my 10 day old adopted son started having problems and we rushed him to the hospital, I was afraid whatever it was was my fault and he would be taken away from us. There was no way I could have passed a lie detector test right then. It turned out that it was a congenital heart defect but until we were told I was convinced somehow I had caused him to be near death.

This same son was killed in a traffic accident when he was 18, again I felt responsible for reasons that I now know are ridiculous. This mother many have done something to this child, she is suspect #1 but she also could be suffering extreme guilt over not keeping the baby safe from a stranger.

‘I’ve heard it said that if you followed the average person around for a couple of days you would think they were up to something.’

That is because we are all ‘up to something’. Namely trying to get through life without getting in trouble with the government. When there is a law against everything, everyone is a criminal.

Interesting take...

I hate to admit that I love this stuff. Hate to see kids or critters harmed in any way, but these cases sure show that stupidity knows no bounds!
