DOJ: No 3rd gun in "Fast and Furious" murder
By Sharyl AttkissonThe Justice Department released a new statement Monday night regarding evidence in the murder of a Border Patrol Agent connected to the Fast and Furious scandal. The statement said "reports of a third gun recovered from the perpetrators at the scene ... are false."
Two assault rifles from ATF's Fast and Furious case were found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry last December. Reports of a possible missing weapon surfaced after a ballistics report found neither rifle conclusively matched to the bullet that killed Terry; an indictment said at least one suspect had escaped; and the lead ATF Fast and Furious case agent was secretly recorded discussing a "third weapon."

Also, on Face the Nation Sunday, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) told Bob Schieffer that "agents who were at Brian Terry's funeral made statements to his mother indicating that there were three weapons" and raised questions about an FBI ballistics report. "Was there a third weapon at the scene? Were there additional people who escaped with weapons?" Issa said.
In response, the Justice Department statement says: "Prior to his appearance on CBS this past Sunday, Chairman Issa's staff was informed that there were two - not three - guns recovered from the perpetrators at the scene of Agent Terry's murder." The statement said because the prosecution for the murder of Terry is ongoing, "further public comment is inappropriate."
One 'excuse' that I heard was the #1 referred to the Blood Vial drawn from Terry as part of the investigation. I'm pretty sure the physical evidence would have been collected before any biological, so that doesn't make sense.
Ping for more from Sharyl Attkisson at CBS.
I bet you never thought this would get so “fast and furious”, did ya? Welllll....
You were wrong.
Issa can’t go chasing after ‘the strange’ or anomalies. It’s too easy for dems to set those up. He needs to go fishing - ask a lot of questions - shake the tree...
To be honest I never would have believed that CBS would be the front runner in getting the details out to the sheeple, as I lived through the Rather debacle.
It does appear that there is a strong opposition of the two Washington cabals - Clinton’s and Obama’s - and each trying to take the other down. With any luck we’ll see them both fatally damage each other!
So I pray...amd pray...and pray...
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Good point.
For example: while I realize the media video of seized weapons is not dispositive, has anyone noticed the disproportionate number of AKs, RPGs, and other former Eastern Bloc weapons, now in wide use in the ME, shown on the news?
What are the chances these are battlefield pick-ups brought back by any of numerous government agencies and sent across our Southern border? No, they would not serve to undermine the Second Amendment by suggesting the weapons came directly from the U.S. as the original programs did, but they would aid the Narcos and further destabilize Mexico.
Well I figured they would be satisfied with just one...Thats all it took I suppose...
These investigators quibling over two or more guns found at a scene like this is hampering the conclusion to this investigation...
Oops, I guess I let that cat out of the bag.../sarc

Eastern Bloc weapons in Mexico? The ME? More details... Thanks for sharing.
Interresting.
Also there were too many agencies involved. Major agencies. The cover reason - 'we want to weaken the 2nd' wouldn't fly with the groups involved... Top people had to be told something... ATF ground level people had no idea about the whats and whys of the program. That's odd.
Someone benefited. Or was going to... Someone with power. This is not a minor effort. Was there profit with cash? Political power? "You scratch my back... " Could be anything. The MSM media ( the unthinking parts) are all to ready to agree it was done for 'gun control'.. This could get interesting.
Perhaps it was the same magic rifle used in the Henry Marshal shooting in 1961....
