Will Romneys Lawn Workers Sink His Candidacy? Frankly, sounds like a phony issue to me. Can't they get him on something more substantive than that?
Great graphic.

Its an old issue that’s been beat to death in the last election.

(A vote for Amnesty is a vote for a permanent Democrat majority. ..Choose well.)

The DailyMail (a UK operation) focused an earlier story about someone else down to this sentence:
"Sep 30, 2010 Whitman denies knowing about her housekeeper's status, claiming she fired her as soon as she discovered she was working illegally."Gloria Allred the Fascist Pig from Hell pursued Whitman to a massive electoral defeat on that particular issue.

Of course it's a phony issue. I think the point of the article is that Romney handled it so poorly. He should have simply given his explanation, which is plausible enough, and shut up. Instead he let Perry's needling get to him.

Actually he told the Lawn Service AFTER the newspaper found out about the illegals.
I can’t have illegals working at my home. I’M RUNNING FOR OFFICE.
No problem until then huh.
Romney is barely tolerable with his say or do ANYTHING to get elected character.

That plus the Romney care issue is more than enough to disqualify him. What has he said about abortion then and now? Gay marriage? Gun control? Job creation? And he defended social security in a way that was insincere.

It was a rehash of an issue from the 2008 primaries, and I still don't understand Perry's thinking, first because it didn't work in 2008 since Romney is now the frontrunner - if it was going to stick, Romney would be a non-issue in 2011. Second, if Romney was even partway competent, he would have pointed out that Perry's bigger backer is a home builder supports sanctuary cities and worked to kill off anti-sanctuary cities legislation. Perry dragging up people employing illegals was dumb as hell since he left the door open for Romney to take him down a few notches on the national stage, but fortunately for Perry, Romney was just as dumb.
Finally, and most importantly, there are much bigger things to fry Romney on and Perry didn't take advantage of them. Whoever is running his campaign or telling him what to say, they should be fired. It was the featured exchange of the night, and rather than Perry really hammering Romney on something bigger, it's just a stupid little spat between two kids on the playground over an issue that clearly didn't hurt Romney in the long run.

There is plenty of material to sink Romney with. I honestly don’t know anyone who even considers voting for Romney. It wasn’t a winner for Perry. He blew it with that attack. The hypocracy was just stunning.
