The student, Demin Zawity, of Brentwood, Tenn., quit the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Ravenwood High School and returned to regular gym classes when commanding officers said she had to take off her hijab if she wanted to march in the homecoming parade.

This muslim student needs to understand that military regulations exist for a reason, and her religion has nothing to do with it. If this girl cannot abide a simple uniform reg, how can she be expected to carry out bigger, harder orders should the time come?
This reflects a clear and present danger with allowing Muslims to serve in our miliary -- those who cannot put their religious preferences over duty to their nation and branch of service cannot be trusted.
A sign of the times. Ignore it at your peril.
