They laughed and hugged for warmth.
Since hundreds of anti-greed protesters descended on a park a block from Wall Street this fall, they have faced arrest, sleep deprivation, no bathrooms and rainy weather. They've had their backpacks and iPods stolen and their food tent invaded by freeloaders and tourists. But a downpour Thursday night followed by frost Friday was a reminder to even the most dedicated occupiers of what many have said will be their greatest test — a New York winter.

I know I should not have laughed...but I did.
They like nature so much, it should be fun when they get a whole bunch of nature dropped on them today.

Then we’ll start seeing the stories about “Wall Street Hangover,” and “Occupy Depression,” as these “young, anti-greed protesters who only want a fair shake for everyone” realize they wasted their time and missed some really good new episodes of Vampire Diaries...to change the world. Sniff.

Seeing the winds and apparently cold weather makes me laugh.

It is kind of funny to watch them scramble. Considering how a TEA Party rally in such predicted weather and how we would not only show up prepared for ourselves...but also be prepared to help someone else.
In fact in the end, we’d end up donating extra materials to local shelters instead of blogging around with our hands out.

And don’t forget, Manhattan - particularly downtown - is a massive wind tunnel due to the skyscrapers. Those little parks wedged in between buildings can sometimes be the worst! I’m here in northern NJ right now and it’s pretty nasty outside.
