Cains support remains strong because authenticity is as important as ideology for many voters. Critics want Cains 15 minutes to be over, but hes an hour into it and still going strong...........................Go Herman!!!

Wow. He’s just the opposite of Obama in every way: he’s sincere; he has executive experience; he served his country...oh, and he’s black!

we each conduct our own private lie-detector test on the candidates, and try to spot the phony. We examine their statements, judge their body language, and investigate their background. Romney fails this test, and Cain passes.

Romney who was for universal healthcare, abortion, and gay rights before he was against them seems as authentic as a Louis Vuitton satchel purchased on the corner of Canal and Broadway.

The same people who were too 'lazy' to investigate 'bammy' now want to 'phone-in' their stories for 2012 Presidential Race. They can only do that if it's Mitt and 'bammy'. That means there is no room in their plans for a candidate like Herman Cain.
The 'Lamestream' media, the rino's, inside the beltway boys and political pundits of all stripes have NEVER saw Cain as a viable candidate. There has been nothing but a solid stream of reasons coming from them since he announced as to why Cain couldn't be taken seriously, why Cain can't win, and as those reasons grew thinner in substance or fell apart all together they have been forced again and again to find more and different reasons as to why Cain can't win.
Why do they continue to derail Cain even as he defeats their arguments against him?
There are any number of reason, he is not a member of the insiders club for one, hes not a known career politician for another, but mostly these people just dont understand a man like Herman Cain. Not that it is entirely their fault, because men like Herman Cain are so rare these days, men of real integrity.
Its been at least 30 years since the Lamestream Media has had to deal with some of Cains stripe and they are completely out of their depths in trying to understand him, just as much now as they were then. I am not saying Herman Cain is the next Ronald Reagan, but he and Reagan share common traits and characteristic, which are far beyond these types to understand.
Herman Cain who truly was until recently a virtual unknown had faith enough in himself to decide to run for President of the United States on his own. There was no Media hype/pressure/build-up about a possible run, there was no urging by members of the Party, no words spoken into his ear by party players, elites, beltway boys or pundits, not even a word of encouragement from the Republican Party of his home state only faith in himself.
And time and time again Herman Cain has shown just what kind of man he is. Is he without faults? Hardly! No man is without his faults, but one measure of a man is how he faces his faults and Herman not only faces his faults, but admits to them, learns from them, teaches others from then and lastly he laughs at himself over them and it takes a man who is truly sure in himself to be able to laugh at their own mistakes.
Considering the great numbers of skeptics on this forum I am sure there will be a good number of FReepers who will find this post funny and stupid, but here goes: I think one of the reasons people support Herman and why so many skeptics cant see Cain for what he is can be summed up in the following lines from the 2003 movie 'Secondhand Lions'
Hub: "Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; and I want you to remember this, that love... true love never dies. You remember that, boy. You remember that. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in."
In Herman Cain we see a good man, an honorable man, a man that has made his mark through his own effort and owes no one other than God and his Parents for his success. We see a man who did not seek money and power, but achieved them and a yet they clearly hold no sway over him.
Maybe we are foolish and gullible, maybe we have all seen Mr. Smith Goes to Washington one to many times and now think that Good really can triumph over evil. The skeptics, naysayers, elitist,'Lamestream media types dont believe in anything, but there are still some of us, many of us that choose to believe, because those are things worth believing in.

Since the start, the biggest factor that gave me interest in Cain was his forward and front ideas about the simplified tax code, which is something long overdue for this nation. What’s also overdue is reconsideration for the unneccessary expenditures in all aspects of the federal budget.

All,
We need to remember Herman Cain didn’t start as the successful businessman, he started his career as a rocket scientist for the Navy on missile ballistic trajectories analysis.
He understands much of our military capabilities so he is not a total neophyte in terms of foreign policy. He has the Cain Doctrine which is “Peace through Strength with Clarity”. You clarify who your friends are, clarify who your enemies are and YOU STOP GIVING MONEY TO YOUR ENEMIES!”. Then, you let the enemies know that if they attack your friends it will be considered an attack on the United States!

The difference between Cain and the other candidates, and indeed between Cain and other politicos generally, is that Herman Cain has spent his working life being accountable for his performance. Always being accountable hones intelligence and builds character.
The lawyers, promoters, and grifters who constitute the US political class aim for those positions which allow them to be unaccountable to anyone. Their intelligence degenerates to mere cunning; as to character...you must be kidding!
They mostly deserve to be in jail, not in office; no wonder at all that Cain has seized the imagination of those who believe in the American ethic.

I am surprised this article states that Sarah Palin mocked Herman Cain, but fails to cite any instances of this. I’ve been following Sarah and Herman both very carefully, and I have never seen this. Shame on Newsmax for printing undocumented allegations of this divisive nature. If indeed, Sarah had mocked Herman (even at the very beginning of his campaign) don’t you think it would have been ALL OVER FR, being reported by supporters and foes alike? (For The Record, I love BOTH of them! :-))
Feel free to cite instances if you know of any. I’m a big girl and can handle it! LOL

When did Sarah say that Cain was not a serious contender?
