If there was ‘no basis’ there should have been no settlement.
Unless they went to the EEOC after.

Is that what Mrs.S says? I’m interested in what she thinks about this.

seems to me there could be a lawsuit or two centered around breaking the seal on these cases
it would be a real kick in the ass if these bs fools that ‘settled’ for 3 months of salary could sue the holy hell outta politico and get some REAL money

There would be an internal complaint to HR.
Then an internal investigation.
If they went to the EEOC after they could have settled it as a nuisance case. Which is what she suspects. But if there was a settlement there should have been a confidentiality agreement so she wonders how that got out.

Sounds like litte more than severance to me.
BTW Chris Plante was fabulous this morning on this.

The RATs in the media have played this card once too often and it will backfire on them big time. Cain is not your garden variety limp-spined DC-isider that rolls over when the hint of scandal (real or lies) takes a breath. They aren’t used to his reaction to it. Especially when he resonates with a lot of people from all social strata, with their love of liberty in common. He will come back all the stronger from it.

Further, the confidentiality agreement is between the company and the alleged sexual harassmentee, Herman would have been completely out of it.
