Surprised? No, not at all. JimRed sums it up in his post# 17. Governor Scott's decision is due solely-- "because he can’t find any black candidates who are willing to be bound by the law and constitution". It has nothing to do with skin color. Note the lovely skin on Florida's Lt. Gov.

But to those whose livlihoods depend on the continuted peddling of racial grievance, of course, they are going to paint it as "black vs. white" rather than "conservative vs. progressive".

Nothing new there.
