I think it all depends on your predilection going in. I’m not a Cain guy for a variety of reasons and I thought Cain was meandering all over the place and basically looked like he was winging it the whole time and seemed uncomfortable. People who love Cain would think he did great no matter what.

Only 3% of blacks like Cain.

All that talk about blacks deserting Obama is just that... talk. They aren’t going anywhere.

You could be right. But the last poll where I looked at internals showed Romney and Perry both got 3% of the black vote, but Cain got 6% of the black vote. And the number of blacks who said "never heard of him" was also significantly higher for Cain than for Romney or Perry.

Given that most blacks are Dems, they aren't even paying attention to our race yet. So they haven't heard of him, haven't heard his message, and probably don't even realize a real black man is running for President.

Cain comes from a very large black church in Georgia, where he is very well respected. He also had a radio program for years. So he can reach into the black audience -- when the time is right -- whereas Romney or Perry cannot. That doesn't mean they will vote for him, but it means his message can be heard, so there is at least a CHANCE he can pull some of the black vote.

As proof that the Dems hardly know who Cain is (I don't mean political junkies like we all are, I mean the average citizen on the street). My buddy talked to a die-hard liberal yesterday who is a receptionist in a major company (even with her blue hair and tattoos). He brought up Cain and his smoking man video. She looked it up on YouTube. As she was searching for the smoking video, she said all she knew about Cain was that he got his 9-9-9 plan from a video game, and there's some allegation of sexual harassment. When the video of Mark Block came up on the screen, she said, "Is that him?" Referring to Mark Block. SHE DID NOT EVEN KNOW HERMAN CAIN WAS BLACK.

So you may be right. They may stay on the plantation. Or some of them may realize "How's that workin' for ya?" and go a different route. Reagan did. Perry did. Cain did. Lots of people eventually wake up and smell the roses -- and it ain't on the Dem side of the street.

Disclaimer: I don't have time this morning to look at the internals on THIS poll.

As long as Cain gets the independent vote, he’s golden. The other factor is the expected enthusiasm on the part of the Black voters. Will they turn out for Obama again after his lack of performance?

> Obama is not even an African American.

There are valid questions as to whether 0bamao is American at all.

Even worse, while Mr. Cain is the descendant of African slaves, 0bamao is very likely the descendant of African slave TRADERS.

African Mahometans started and continue to run the African slave trade.

0bamao’s father was an African Moslem.

If anybody is a traitor to their race, it is those who participated in or benefited from the selling of their own race into slavery.

He was winging it.

The comparison with him who wings it and Obama who is incapable of thinking on the spot is immense.

I see no problem with winging it. That is the way it should be. Pumping constant scripted statements is anathema to me.

He was not uncomfortable, he was having a great time enjoying a great opportunity.

A open letter to Herman Cain Supporters,

What is it with you Cain People? Isn’t it clear by now that your candidate is just Mitt’s stalking horse?

Sure he is up in all the polls, but those polls mean nothing. Besides PMS-NBC and The New York Slimes says Cain is just a poor Minstrel putting on a show for Redneck Racist Terrorist that make up the ‘Teabagger’ party. I mean gosh darn it didn’t you see Karl Rove’s whiteboard the other day! The man is a genius! You need to listen to him, he knows far better what’s good for you than even you do!

Face it there is little difference between the Cain and Mitt, why Cain even supported Mitt in 2008!

Have you Cain people no shame? Doesn’t it embarrassed you you that your candidate is little more that Mitt’s errand boy? Everyone knows that even should Cain win with 51% of the delegates he will just turn them over to Mitt.

Clearly you are embarrassing yourself and the Republican Party with your support of a man who is blatantly using the nominating process to sell books and get a nice cushy job on Fox.

How can you take Cain seriously? The man has no money? How can he run a serious campaign when he has no slush fund to pay bribes and hush money from? So Cain raised $400,000 in a day, why a couple of the real candidates spent more than that decorating their tour bus, heck some of the candidates wifes spend that much shopping for accessories. I expect that any day now Cain will have to start delivering pizzas just to make ends meet.

Sure Cain has a plan, but it’s not a prefect plan and yes its easy to understand and yet you don’t understand that’s part of what is wrong with Cain’s plan! Mitt has shown that a good tax plan can not be printed on anything less than whole forest worth of paper. And that we don’t need to understand a plan, because we will be told what’s in it by our high dollar accountants once its past. And then there’s all his ‘misspeak’, at the rate stuff spills out of his mouth he’ll soon be the laughing stock of all 57 states, don’t you understand facts are stupid things and Cain’s constant string of misspeak is a big f***ing deal. You don’t see anyone else doing it do you? I mean I don’t want to be heartless here, but clearly Cains statements are making the Republican party a laughingstock all the way from Wasilla to Russia.

Now we are finding out that Cain is a randy old goat chasing women right and left and who wants a President that can’t keep his pants up? Do you want that kind of behavior in the Oval Office?

Lastly I must ask you do you Cain supporters know that Cain has horns and a tail?

For the good of the party and the country please help us get Cain out of the race and allow the only person that can beat Barack Obama, (Fill in this Blank) to win the nomination.

If you doubt any of the claims I have stated just grab the nearest Romney, Perry or Paul supporter and they will be more than willing to verify all including the horns and tail thing.

Who cares? The white vote is far more important and Cain will take it by a wide margin.

It’s really interesting to see them twist themselves in pretzel knots to say that Cain’s popularity is BECAUSE conservatives are racist.

Yep, that's one of the most fun I've had in a long time watching this charade.

We are for Cain because he gives us cover for our racism, how in the hell does a human brain work that way, riddle me that, Batman.

I don’t think the attacks on Cain backfired. I think they had no effect. People are starting to realize that the mainstream media has a leftist bias and are simply tuning them out.

BIG difference between the normal human brain and a liberal human brain! A liberal human brain is a vacuum...

We need a post-Politico poll. This one was taken before the hit piece:

The poll, taken almost entirely before reports emerged of sexual allegations against Cain, shows him leading in a hypothetical matchup against Romney, 47 percent to 39 percent.

Watching Herman being grilled can be a cringe inducing activity
He needs to be briefed by the rapid response team and have concise and intelligible answers ready at all times.

There's a long time to go. And there just aren't many blacks who follow the Republican primary process. I wouldn't have expected anything to change yet.

If he's nominated, then I'd look for some blacks to jump ship -- and we might not even know their intentions until the election's over. All he'd need would be 15% of the black vote and the Dems couldn't win.

I ordered three bumper stickers from a guy on eBay. Part of the proceeds go to Herman.

My Dad is going to love his. :)
