The U.K. is stepping up its preparations for a military strike on Iran, the Guardian newspaper reported on Wednesday. According to the report, the U.K. is increasingly concerned over Tehran's nuclear program, and is preparing to deploy Royal Navy ships in the coming months to assist a possible U.S. attack on key facilities in Iran.

Point understood, but Varian didn’t go bankrupt. It was bought by Agilent last year.

If true, the headline should have read US to attack Iran.

Typical Obama. Just like Libya. Gotta give the "international community" proper credit, even if we do the heavy lifting.

Whatever, I don't care if he gives the credit to Little Sisters of the Poor so long as the SOB's get what's coming to them. It does indicate that Barry is just all kinda hungry for a big October Surprise poll bounce though.

If true, what the hell are people thinking to release this information to the media, and, thus, to the enemy?

lol.

Attacking Iran is just another step toward installing the new Caliphate. The US-EU and UN seem intent on doing that.

Boy wonder about to wag the dog for reelection effort?

Nothing else he's done has brought him back to deity status. That's the only way he could win reelection. His record sucks!

He ran as a man (or God) who could bring the world together through peace, but so far we're at war or bombing or something in 5 places. Iran would get us into #6.

We're 16 trillion in debt, yet Oboma has no problem (or no self control) with spending.

I say let the next president deal with this in 2012. Oboma has screwed up enough already. Lybia is sinking into radical Islam like a rock! We're sinking into a depression even faster! The guy hasn't done anything right. If it weren't for Bush, Osoma and Qaddafi would still be howling at the moon 7 times a day!
God help us if the tries to take in Iran. It would be better to wait for an adult to handle it. The U.S. can't take much more of this guy.

The UK and the French led off on the Libyan adventure, so why not? OTOH, I always thought the UK was strongly opposed to military action against Iran. Unless something has changed drastically?

Destroying Iran as a axis of evil and returning it to is peace loving new generation

This wouldn't destroy Iran, and if anything it would make both the government and general population more radical and anti-American; don't kid yourself that the Green Movement protesters don't want Iran to have nuclear weapons.

And even massive strikes wouldn't end their nuclear capability - it would just delay nuclear weapons by a few years; thus Iran would have to be re-struck every couple of years or so till they gave up on their program.

UK has no Navy? Can they send their single gunboat or something? What good would the old sinking ash can do to mighty Iran? Can a muslem nation attack another muslem nation? This report is a joke—there will be no attack.

"As we are looking to the war it is what we have said is going to be , 'The First Great War of The 21st Century Has Begun' and there could be no doubt about it , the global Ponzi scheme is collapsing. When the bailouts begun in 2008 we said when the bailout bubble burst next they will take us to war it's history repeating itself the song is the same the tune is different , figure it out 1929 the panic of 08 , the Great Depression , the great recession , the only reason the recession hasn't turned worse in the United States is because of all that digital money they keep pumping into the system to keep the banks afloat and then you look at the currency wars going on today the next thing is trade wars and then real wars." - Gerald Celente (Trends Research Institute)

"I think eventually there will be a big (financial) bust and then the whole credit expansion will come to an end. Before that happens, governments will continue printing money which in time will lead to a very high inflation rate, and the economy will not respond to stimulus. The average family will be hurt by that, and then in order to distract the attention of the people, the governments will go to war. People ask me against whom? Well, they will invent an enemy." - Dr. Marc Faber (The Gloom, Boom & Doom Report)

Russia gives H-bomb factories to Iran, China gives them ICBM’s to deliver the bombs, the trade? Nuke Americas forward army in Iraq and Afganistan to break the defense of America for later invasion by Russia and China. Even our National Guard is overseas now.

Iran is disposable to the Reds.

They have submarines carrying a considerable number of Tomahawks.

It’s always helpful to read the actual article than some newspaper’s summary of other newspaper’s article; MUCH more detail here:

Well, when I lived in Israel, Debka was a hell of a lot more accurate than the MSM. Some of the reports out of Debka that FReepers laughed at I saw were true first hand.

The Debka bashing may be popular, but its horsemanure. Debka is not a NEWS source, it is an INTELLEGENCE Leak center. Apples and Oranges...

Oh, and HaEretz is the NY Slimes of Israel. When God sad he would throw sins as far as left is from right, the left end of that scale is HaEretz. HaEretz means The one unique Land, funny that the most virulent anti-zionest newspaper in Israel would take a name like that. But then, wolves do tend to like sheep skin suits.
