Herman Cain's campaign is revealing suspicions about who is behind the story regarding the former unidentified employees who accused Mr. Cain of sexual harassment in the late 1990's.

"He did this and that" My response: Shut the #@$% up bi'otch!!
I think Cain is intelligent (he graduated with a Masters in Computer Science from Purdue, Neil Armstrong's alma mater), but like a lot of intelligent people, he is over-confident about his abilities. Big time politics is not like a bull session. Every utterance is recorded and scrutinized like a mess of oracle bones. Political handlers everywhere are looking at Cain and wincing every time he opens his mouth. I understand the temptation to schmooze the press, but the problem is that the press can't be schmoozed - they are solidly in the tank for Obama.
He needs to figure out with his staff the questions he will be asked and the answers he needs to give before the questions are asked. Political campaigns are like year long job interviews. Why wouldn't he prepare the answers ahead of time?
The Perry connection is confirmed.
Watching Perry on Hannity right now. He was speaking of his “Flat Tax” plan. Two times, I repeat, two times, he called IRS “Dependents” on the tax form “Independents”. Two friggin’ times. Makes me wonder how long it’s been since he filled-out a tax form.
Yeah.. a “gesture “ that someone found “offensive”.
how broad is that?
Every human being is guilty of that ten times over.
Confirmed by who?
He is literally dumb. Last week he meant to say antidote but he said “anecdote.”. As in the anecdote to Barack obama’s plan or some such. Argh.
Other than what happened to palin, I have not seen such a disgusting attack against one person like this.
Since the media has taken upon itself to be the public accuser, it is incumbent upon them to either 1.) name the specific sources and circumstances, upon whom it is also encumbent to pursue a public trial, or 2.) expect the scorn and ridicule of reasonable people. In my book, trial by innuendo is trial from outyourendo.
I think it does matter who’s behind it, if it’s someone other than just a “journalist sniffing about for a good story “.
I agree the whole thing should have been dealt with better.
It’s sounding more & more like he has a habit of speaking to or around women in ways he doesn’t realize might offend or intimidate or give the wrong impression. Not that he means to do it, but his ‘plain speaking’ may mean he also has difficulty editing himself to meet the demands of this PC world.
That’s just my guess until I learn more.
Will we ever learn to ignore the MSM and move on? Guess not.
We need to! If this is another good campaign donations day for Cain, we’re learning. Of course they are stepping up the attacks. We can’t let them control the story! Just say, “SO?”. No matter what they say Herman once did, just say “SO?”
The source is the Cain campaign.
Without any documentation.
First the leak was blamed on the Romney campaign because
the new CEO of the NRA had contributed to Romney..and also
apparently to Cain.
Then it was the Perry campaign.
Now, it’s Rahm Emanuel.
Kinda reminds me of the Lewinsky years when the Democrats
made Linda Tripp the boogeyman
to deflect from Clinton.
The central questions should be
are the charges true and
is there a pattern ?
Cain said an investigation by HR at the NRA exonerated him.
He should ask the NRA to release the results
of their in house investigation ,
while concealing the identities
of the accusers.
To continually cast about for leakers to blame
does not absolve Cain.
This whole story is so depressing.
You gitto be kidding me. Politico is the one who said a supporter of Perry was the source. That’s confirmation? So, if everything Poltico says is true then (A) a supporter of Perry is the source and (B) Cain sexually harassed these women.
Yes, it is
key word, “severance,” not “settlement”.
Cain is the one who should be worried.
He handled this very badly.
Oh really? Was this the same Rick Perry that was the Campaign Manager for the Al Gore for President campaign in 1988? I think that after the Reagan Reveloution Perry saw the wringing on the wall (along with a whole bunch of other RATs and became a “Republican” (RINO) because that was his only prayer of being elected to any State wide office.
I guess that the James Byrd “Hate Crimes” Bill was an affirmation of our 14th Amendment Rights to “equal treatment” under the law? Did a real conservative dream that up? Or was that the work of a RAT mole?
Trans Texas Corridor and the elimination of Private Property Rights was another Conservative cause that he championed. Real “Conservative” there, right?
I could go on, but it’s not worth my time or effort.
I see that you are one of those that is part of the problem and not the solution.
Odd you should conclude that when a) the Perry supporter is named, and b) the Cain accusers are not.
Ping to another ‘it’s not the allegations, it’s the response’ meme.
Yeah, having seen this smear routine played out dozens of times now I realize we're now at the 'the charges are bullsh*t but he played this very badly' phase.
He should have said “Charges are bull hockey”, and been open about what happened.
The problem is he played by the standard playbook.
Therein lies the key...Rush talked about this today...NYSlimes reported it as a severance versus a settlement. Huge, huge eff'in difference.
And personally it has ticked me off over the last few days to hear radio and TV media talking about charges brought against Cain...No one has brought any "charges" have they? Charges would indicate actual legal action filed in a court of law. Have even one of these "allegations" wound up in a court of law?
However, I don't think he can count on the media to say 'OK fine' like they do when leftists are busted.
Because it's stupid?
Kerry Pickett is an awesome writer!
If all these allegations are that old, I’m still giving Cain a pass. People can change, give or take a fight with cancer and a loving wife. Edwards fathered a child out of wedlock and he isn’t alone in the ick parade. Right Bill?
Ok, you don’t like Rick.
That aside, what does any of that have to do with this?
Why should Cain stop now? He is raising more money than ever and increasing his poll #s. He ought to be thanking Perry/Romney/Rahm
This is splitting the scene wide open. The true believers on the Cain side and the rest.
If true, we should follow his lead.
Starve the beast I say.
That's a keeper.
Well done, from a fellow Class of '98er.
I really believe that Perry is already toast, but, if this Cain sexual harassment thing ever gets remotely tied to Perry, then he is done, fini, over.
That's funny, because the Perrybots want us to believe that everybody in Texas was a Demonrat until just a couple of years ago, and Rick himself claims never to have met a single Republican until he was an adult.
I like a bold stand.
No. There was no settlement.
The woman was let go from NRA with a normal severance package. That is not a "settlement." Cain told the truth about that.
With all that the Clintons have on zero, it’s hard to imagine him having something worse on them. Murder maybe?

National Restaurant Association Thanks President Barack Obama for Dining Out
(Washington, D.C.) National Restaurant Association President and CEO Dawn Sweeney yesterday sent the following thank you letter to President Barack Obama:
Dear Mr. President:
On behalf of the National Restaurant Association which represents an industry of nearly one million restaurant establishments in the United States - we want to thank you for dining out!
During these challenging economic times, your recent and highly visible visits to restaurants with the Vice President and your family are exactly the type of activities that help convey the important role of restaurants in the economy and the importance of all of us doing our part to help support a revitalized economy.
By dining out, you have helped support some of the 13 million Americans that depend on our industry for their livelihood. Each time we dine out with our co-workers, friends or family we help support the servers, cooks, host and hostesses, managers, busboys, suppliers and countless others who work in and depend on this industry. When Americans dine out, they our backing an industry that has a $1.5 trillion impact on our economy. For every dollar spent in a restaurant, more than two dollars are generated in supporting industries. In fact, the restaurant industry is larger than the U.S. agricultural industry, the U.S. airline industry and the U.S. motion picture industry combined.
Beyond the economic impact of our industry, we also provide a benefit for the countless Americans who have been working harder and longer and need a break from the hectic pace of life to spend quality time with family and friends. As the commander-in-chief, a father of two and a husband, you know firsthand the rewards of time together with your family. Dining out over a good meal allows for an opportunity to relax, catch up and focus on family and friends.
Simply put, dining out benefits millions of Americans.
As we all look for ways to improve the economy and create jobs, we thank you for your recent restaurant visits and encourage you to continue enjoying time at one of our almost one million restaurants across the country.
President and Chief Executive Officer
National Restaurant Association
Gag me ...
Dollars to donuts, she’s working with MarieMichelle Antoinette of hell-thy restaurant food.
Just on the sidebar i see: it’s Romney, it’s Perry, it’s Rahm. The one group all of this benefits is libs.
Either there’s something there or not.
Unproven, slanderous, annonymous sexual harrassment allegations from the 90's, enabling the Politics of Personal Destruction?
LOL - It's Fingerprints Hillary.
