PJM Sources Report Details of Alleged Cain Incident
PJMedia ^ | November 3, 2011 | Richard Pollock

Posted on 11/03/2011 10:04:50 AM PDT by bbernard

Adding to the ongoing Herman Cain sexual harassment controversy, two sources have now confirmed to PJ Media that a female employee of the National Restaurant Association told associates she had been brought by Mr. Cain to his Crystal City, Virginia residence where she alleged “he had taken advantage of me.”

One source, a male, told PJ Media:

Herman took advantage of seniority and power with a young woman. It was an abuse of power.

Implying that coming forward with the accusations was an ordeal for the young woman, the source also said:

Who do you believe, a CEO or a mid-level staffer? It was unsettling for her to make charges.

The name of the woman — who was in her early twenties at the time of the alleged incident — has been confirmed by PJ Media. We have chosen not to reveal her identity for reasons of discretion.

Both sources, one male and one female, worked at the time — mid-1990s — for the governmental affairs department of the National Restaurant Association, as did the woman.

This is a simple smear campaign. We shall not let the lamestream media dictate our candidate for president. Perry had a clear conflict of interest in doing the guardisil thing by executive order. It was his former chief of staff for crying out loud! NO one has mentioned that in the process! It made things good for the company his ex-staff member worked for but the establishment media and Repubs went silent on that! That clear conflict of interest should have eliminated Perry from the start. The Tea Partiers need to fight like hell to make this decision and not let anyone be eliminated by the slimeball lamestream media.

—But based on the few bits of information, it sound much more likely that something consensual happened—

Actually, on the few bits of information, we haven’t got a clue. ALL of the juicy stuff is speculation aided but inuendo.

We haven’t got squat.

Yet...

One source told PJ Media: “Some people didn’t believe [the accuser]” at the time she made the allegation.

There is probably a reason they didn't believe her!

To hell with this lying BEEYOTCH. I am still voting for Cain.

Why? Do you have a good reason to vote for him? I mean - is he qualified to be the president of the United States of America? If so, please explain. I must have missed his skills and experience to be president. Thank you.

So now they escalate the charges.

Forget this. Unless they can provide proof, I won't buy it even for a second. Until there's proof, this is slander.

"Alternately: she slept with the boss, felt she didn't get enough value for her services and decided to cash in her sexual harassment chip."

There were two adults here, and assuming that it was consensual- if anything did actually happen between them at his home (she didn't file criminal charges apparently, so no allegations of rape, etc.)- she bears a share of responsibility for what happened, as well.

Poor judgment on his part if true, but he certainly wouldn't be the first presidential candidate to have had an affair.

The correct question to ask of Mr Cain is: Did you participate with any of these claimants in any sexual or touching behavior of any kind?

It is possible that a consensual (albeit adulterous on his part)contact on Cain’s part was not found to be harrassment.

It is also possible that this a gold-digger who took advantage of being alone with the boss to file accusations.

It must come out before the election; no republican will get the pass the media gave Clinton. It’s just not going to happen.

—Are we all losing sight of the fact that this story is completely different from the one her lawyer was telling just a day ago??—

I haven’t. Trust me, this is ridiculous unless we get something tangible with a name attached to it. So far it is nothing more than bad theater.

“People need to stop being astonished by this”

It really is shocking a charismatic and powerful man has been fooling around on his wife. He needs to own up to it and move on. This is only a disqualifier if we let it be.

“These are disturbing allegations against Cain. If true, even partially, he should not be elected. They are serious and we should demand better of our leaders.

However, I will not believe or accept third party information. I understand that it might be hard for the woman to speak out. She will be savaged (rightly or wrongly, it can’t be determined yet) by some conservatives. But we are talking about the President of the United States, and we are talking about the good of the whole country. If Cain is really this bad guy, she owes it to the country to speak out. If not, then I must assume she’s playing politics.”

I couldn’t have said it better, it was worth repeating.

Rush is entitled to his opinion. So am I. You don't like that, tough shit.

Cain and Block choose to climb down into the gutter pointing fingers at others and making dumbass accusations that don't hold up under basic scrutiny. Cain has been talking out both sides of his mouth. While Block has just been running his mouth off. This lashing out is juvenile and shows that a bunch of incompetent neophytes are running the campaign.

Wrong. Clinton actually did what he was accused of doing and much worse. So far, they have only innuendo on Cain. Nice try.

This is not analogous to Lewinski. This is analogous to Gennifer Flowers, right down to the timing.

He still won the election.

With Lewinski, we had to let him off or see Gore as president. And Clinton KNEW it.

Don’t worry. 60 minutes will do a special interview of Cain and his wife, she will say she is standing by her man, and he’ll go on to win the nomination.

Ow, wait he not a Democrat?

Never mind.

I won’t be voting for Mitt either if he does get it...but if Newt goes to the top he’ll beat out Romney as well as Obama....CAin will have to fight hard against both of them because they do have the information Cain has to “discover” in order to even comment.

I don’t think CAin will make it thru to the end...he’ll back down in order to take another position within the administration IMO....and be a part of the ticket..one way or another we’ll see him in Washington eventually.

I continue to lean toward Newt regardless of his faults and past....he can turn the ship as no other can and that’s just a proven fact.
