PJM Sources Report Details of Alleged Cain Incident
PJMedia ^ | November 3, 2011 | Richard Pollock

Posted on 11/03/2011 10:04:50 AM PDT by bbernard

Adding to the ongoing Herman Cain sexual harassment controversy, two sources have now confirmed to PJ Media that a female employee of the National Restaurant Association told associates she had been brought by Mr. Cain to his Crystal City, Virginia residence where she alleged “he had taken advantage of me.”

One source, a male, told PJ Media:

Herman took advantage of seniority and power with a young woman. It was an abuse of power.

Implying that coming forward with the accusations was an ordeal for the young woman, the source also said:

Who do you believe, a CEO or a mid-level staffer? It was unsettling for her to make charges.

The name of the woman — who was in her early twenties at the time of the alleged incident — has been confirmed by PJ Media. We have chosen not to reveal her identity for reasons of discretion.

Both sources, one male and one female, worked at the time — mid-1990s — for the governmental affairs department of the National Restaurant Association, as did the woman.

There's also a BIG difference between an accuser who comes forward and names herself and one who doesn't.

Exactly! If an accuser(s) is coming forward who refuses to be named, it is a very good indication they are doing this for some kind of gain. This is why I heavily suspect Mittens and Perrywinkle.

With the rate that it is going and the second woman asking to be released from the nondisclosure, I find it hard to believe her colleagues from the time are misrepresenting what they have shared.

Also, with Cain’s serial lies I find it hard to believe anything about his account at this point.

Sometimes things like this that happen are best untold.

One of my former bosses, a colonel, related the story of one of his friends, a (married) colonel who happened to be a base commander. He and a (married) female captain who worked for him attended a conference at Maxwell AFB. They both attended a banquet the last evening of the conference and they both of them drank much more than they should have. The captain woke up in the colonel’s bed in VIP quarters the next morning after what apparently was a night of consensual sex. The captain apparently had remorse for what she willfully had done and, thinking “OMG, what will I tell my husband?”, reported to the security police that she had been raped.

The colonel was arrested and court-martialed, and his wife filed for divorce. At the court-martial the captain admitted that the sex had been consensual and the colonel was acquitted of the rape charge. The end result was that two careers and two marriages were needlessly destroyed.

Sir, isn't it time to take this bull shit innuendo lynching more seriously and edit some of these agitprops from the forum posting privileges? I mean this thread poster is playing a farcical game of feint praise all the way to ‘serious implications’ in only a hundred or so hits posted, with zero evidence yet provided! How much more ridiculous can Freerepublic be made to look than allowing this continued democratesque Clarence Thomas style lynching by innuendo to go on and on and on and on?

The point is that Thomas was able to get the elected republicans to NOT throw him under the bus because of the way he handled himself. Cain is the same spirit. The question we have to ask is, are WE going to throw him under the bus?

Or are we better than that?

"took advantage of me"

Has anyone -- seriously, as opposed to being funny -- used that expression in such a context since, say, the 50s? The mid-90s was a good 20 years into the "sexual revolution."

Thanks for another rae voce of common sense...but as a fellow member of the FR class of 1998..we can expect no less of each other..(g)

don’t know if you saw my #82. I have two daughters, and I know how vulnerable they were when they first started their careers. It really aggravates me how so many here are treating the young ladies like whores.

What a disgusting post to make with absolutely zero evidence to support your crap. But one thing is good about this, we are seeing the real nature of some of you drek.

You are wrongo...when you’ve got hard proof...like hush money paid through a settlement along with written letters sent to the Feds according to regulations outlining the incident even before the settlement took place. The Feds determined there was a case for sexual harassment. This was so bad a the young female’s parents were involved. Dance around it all you like but Cain is done.

Strange as it sounds, Anita Hill had more credibility than any of Herman Cain’s anonymous accusers.

Sometimes things like this that happen are best if they don't happen in the first place.

It's not an accident, and it is avoidable by making better choices. It's not enough to disqualify Cain, if it is true, but it would be bad news in terms of his character. In any case, I still haven't seen anything worth listening to.

So one of his employees gets plastered at a party. He let’s her crash at his pad to sleep it off instead of letting her drive drunk. Nothing sexual is said to have happened.... and somehow Cain is the bad guy?

Uhmm,

I know people will scream bloody murder about “double standards” but you have to face the reality that someone who makes a big deal about being religious and moral is going to be hurt by something like this infinitely more than a politician who doesn’t.

You might need to add a qualifier or two to your statement.

No, I don’t believe it said his bed but this article is written in a way that can push people to many assumptions. Why Richard Pollock wrote this way makes me wonder his motives.

We are not voting for Perry, thanks.

There Perry people need to learn that their tactics are a total turn off to their guy.

I saw Perry on Hannity's show last night and actually came away with a positive attitude toward him.

Then I come here and see what his supporters stoop too and it's a total turn off.

“...took the woman by taxi to his apartment, where she spent the night and woke up.” Cain is not my first choice but this is so ridiculous...if true...what business did either Cain or this gal have to go to his apartment period. He could have gotten her a room which is what a gentleman would do...certainly wouldn't take her "home".

It's bogus IMO...and not hardly worth the time given it.
