Adding to the ongoing Herman Cain sexual harassment controversy, two sources have now confirmed to PJ Media that a female employee of the National Restaurant Association told associates she had been brought by Mr. Cain to his Crystal City, Virginia residence where she alleged he had taken advantage of me.
One source, a male, told PJ Media:
Herman took advantage of seniority and power with a young woman. It was an abuse of power.
Implying that coming forward with the accusations was an ordeal for the young woman, the source also said:
Who do you believe, a CEO or a mid-level staffer? It was unsettling for her to make charges.
The name of the woman who was in her early twenties at the time of the alleged incident has been confirmed by PJ Media. We have chosen not to reveal her identity for reasons of discretion.
Both sources, one male and one female, worked at the time mid-1990s for the governmental affairs department of the National Restaurant Association, as did the woman.

In the court of public opinion, people of fine character wait to see if there is a real accuser with a real story about a legitimate complaint.
The classless, Mitt-bots and Perry-bots, not so much.
No he just gives executive orders that give a cash bonus to the company his ex-Chief of staff works for (the Guardisil executive order). Let’s see, thoroughly documented by Perry himself and acting as if there had to be cash exchanged for it to be wrong, as opposed to unsourced accusations.

I noticed several places in this thread where members quoted the article saying “she woke up in his bed.”
So I read the article just now and it says she spent the night there “and woke up.” Period. Nothing about a bed. Has the PJ site deleted the bed?
She slept and “woke up” - a curious sentence - of course she woke up, where - the sofa?
You forgot to include the most important part:
“woke up in his bed.”
Anyone assuming this is TRUE, who posts here as a conservative on a conservative website and claims to be a THINKER, should be ashamed.
And another bullshiite n00b chimes in to pontificate on the completely unsubstantiated innuendo as if it is evidence just waiting to be aired. Axelrod filth you are.
There's also a BIG difference between an accuser who comes forward and names herself and one who doesn't.
Ah, thank you. :)
Here's a question.
What's the name of the supposed mid-level staffer?
This is not a Lewinski event. It is a Gennifer Flowers event.
Except this is completely anonymous and nothing but inuendo so far.
And Clinton still won.
And yet, he is beating the pants off of your candidate. Yep, da#N neophytes. Get a grip, Perrywinkle. Your guy was tied to the smear...deal with it.
Cain has 3 ghost bimbos haunting him and until they materialize and take responsibility for their allegations...well,there ain't no such thing as ghosts!
Now that the SRM is doing such a good job (sic) of covering this story, I’m sure that they will put forth the same effort to cover, and ask Zero about, the murders of Donald Young, Larry Bland and Nate Spenser. You will recall that all three were members of Zero’s Chicago church, all three were gay and all three were shot in the head within 40 days starting in November 2007. While they’re at it they can investigate, and ask the POTUS, what happened to Lieutenant Quarles who was close to finding out who accessed and scrubbed Zero’s passport records, and was also shot to death!
Good point. :)
It is called quid pro quo...you do this (go to be with me), I’ll give you that (promotion, raise, etc.). It is all neat and tidy until the boss doesn’t produce the raise, promotion, etc.
The PJM version doesn't have the words "in his bed." A HUGE difference here.
—Whether Cain did anything or not, Im starting to get this sinking feeling that it wont matter. They are hell bent on getting him out of the way. It will be hard to defend all of this crap.—
I agree, and anything worth having is hard. Just ask Clarence Thomas. They thought they were gonna Bork him, but didn’t expect him to actually fight back.
Cain is a fighter. You have to be to accomplish what he has. This is going to be fun for us observers and I expect Cain to win this one.
The article doesn’t say she woke up in Cain’s bed. It says:
“...took the woman by taxi to his apartment, where she spent the night and woke up.”
The word bed is not found in the article at all. Neither is the word sex.
When you go with someone to their apartment after a night of drinking, the assumption is you’re going to have sex. The fact that the article seems doesn’t meniton sex or a bed, but says “spent the night and woke up” is, well...a curious choice of words.
I’m not sure what to make out of this, other than the fact that there’s something missing from the story.
It's NOT a big deal to them. It is their hope, however, that it be a big deal with Republican (base) primary voters so as to knock Hermain Cain off the pedestal upon which he has been placed by said voters.
Cain has said he has never done these things...or did you miss this part?
Exactly! If an accuser(s) is coming forward who refuses to be named, it is a very good indication they are doing this for some kind of gain. This is why I heavily suspect Mittens and Perrywinkle.
With the rate that it is going and the second woman asking to be released from the nondisclosure, I find it hard to believe her colleagues from the time are misrepresenting what they have shared.
Also, with Cain’s serial lies I find it hard to believe anything about his account at this point.
Politico reporting payments of $45K for one women and $35K for the other.
Sometimes things like this that happen are best untold.
One of my former bosses, a colonel, related the story of one of his friends, a (married) colonel who happened to be a base commander. He and a (married) female captain who worked for him attended a conference at Maxwell AFB. They both attended a banquet the last evening of the conference and they both of them drank much more than they should have. The captain woke up in the colonel’s bed in VIP quarters the next morning after what apparently was a night of consensual sex. The captain apparently had remorse for what she willfully had done and, thinking “OMG, what will I tell my husband?”, reported to the security police that she had been raped.
The colonel was arrested and court-martialed, and his wife filed for divorce. At the court-martial the captain admitted that the sex had been consensual and the colonel was acquitted of the rape charge. The end result was that two careers and two marriages were needlessly destroyed.
The point is that Thomas was able to get the elected republicans to NOT throw him under the bus because of the way he handled himself. Cain is the same spirit. The question we have to ask is, are WE going to throw him under the bus?
Or are we better than that?
Has anyone -- seriously, as opposed to being funny -- used that expression in such a context since, say, the 50s? The mid-90s was a good 20 years into the "sexual revolution."
Thanks for another rae voce of common sense...but as a fellow member of the FR class of 1998..we can expect no less of each other..(g)
don’t know if you saw my #82. I have two daughters, and I know how vulnerable they were when they first started their careers. It really aggravates me how so many here are treating the young ladies like whores.
My goodness you’re touchy, perhaps it’s because your candidate is a loser.
What a disgusting post to make with absolutely zero evidence to support your crap. But one thing is good about this, we are seeing the real nature of some of you drek.
You are wrongo...when you’ve got hard proof...like hush money paid through a settlement along with written letters sent to the Feds according to regulations outlining the incident even before the settlement took place. The Feds determined there was a case for sexual harassment. This was so bad a the young female’s parents were involved. Dance around it all you like but Cain is done.
Strange as it sounds, Anita Hill had more credibility than any of Herman Cain’s anonymous accusers.
It's not an accident, and it is avoidable by making better choices. It's not enough to disqualify Cain, if it is true, but it would be bad news in terms of his character. In any case, I still haven't seen anything worth listening to.
So one of his employees gets plastered at a party. He let’s her crash at his pad to sleep it off instead of letting her drive drunk. Nothing sexual is said to have happened.... and somehow Cain is the bad guy?
I know people will scream bloody murder about double standards but you have to face the reality that someone who makes a big deal about being religious and moral is going to be hurt by something like this infinitely more than a politician who doesnt.

You might need to add a qualifier or two to your statement.
No, I don’t believe it said his bed but this article is written in a way that can push people to many assumptions. Why Richard Pollock wrote this way makes me wonder his motives.
There Perry people need to learn that their tactics are a total turn off to their guy.
I saw Perry on Hannity's show last night and actually came away with a positive attitude toward him.
Then I come here and see what his supporters stoop too and it's a total turn off.
It's bogus IMO...and not hardly worth the time given it.
Its not always a good thing to have a conscience.
First, they are not all young girls. This one was. I believe the other went to an Ivy League school, and the rest I don’t know.
Secondly, she is with her lawyer today working on a public legal statement. I would assume it won’t be long.
Finally, my daughter was RAPED when she was 16, and I went through that time with her and she is a beautiful woman now, and DON’T YOU DARE SAY ANOTHER WORD ABOUT MY DAUGHTER YOU IGNORANT WEASEL. YOU ARE SICK YOU PATHETIC IGNORANT THING MAKING FUN OF A MOTHER WHO HAD TO SEE HER LITTLE GIRL RAPED AND WHO STOOD WITH HER THROUGH ALL THE COURT PROCEEDINGS.
She has overcome that, but people like you in this society are horrible people who don’t deserve to have a family, let alone a daughter who could call you “Dad”.
Cain has denied sexual harrassment. That’s all, and I’ve followed this pretty closely.
I’m also fairly disappointed in the campaign manager.
And I’m tired of hearing “only anonymous sources.” Cain has said on TV that he knows at least one of them and even made a point of saying he did not reveal her name. And he did not reveal her name, but he did tell Greta her age range now, height, NRA department she had worked in.
That one, at least, is NOT anonymous. He knows exactly who she is.
yes - I’m tired of this “little ‘ole helpless me” act.
I’ve never wrapped my brain around the feminist message that women are just as smart, just as strong (stronger even!)
And yet - we get taken advantage of!
We don’t say no, or push a hand away because we’re so darn....afraid! oh my!
Three times? Usually it’s the Dems that do that.
Who are the 'young ladies?' Where are they? How do you know who or what they are or where?
As of this moment, this is classic character assassination. Typical of what is done to successful Republicans.
I'm surprised that so many are falling for this (regardless of whom you favor in the primaries), without any factual evidence to support it.
I can't tolerate Ron Paul, but I would be equally suspect of any unsubstantiated, anonymous charges made against him.
I hope we conservatives start getting our act together before our candidate is selected and we have to go up against the filth in the White House (who is most likely behind this ridiculous set of accusations).
And he knows EXACTLY what happened. So, again, if Cain has denied wrong doing, then what is your problem with a story filled with “anonymous sources”.
I’m disappointed in you
If true...and I do question that....Cain would know better then to take a woman home...get her a room somewhere if that. I think the story is bogus.
You think we have hard proof, and your screen name is shield??
At the moment, I am inclined to say if there was one transgression twenty years ago and he and is wife worked it out, then it is no one else's business.
Given the field of candidates, I am willing to overlook one mistake in Cain's personal life.
At the moment. But I am worried.
