FR has gone batsh@# crazy against Perry, and he’s the one true conservative!

Uh, FR has gone crazy because of stupid statements like this. If Perry were the one, true conservative, he'd be leading in the polls, now wouldn't he?

“Lol, yeah that’s what scares me!”

Of course. I think Newt would have the same trouble Bush-43 had, which is convincing conservatives to trust him. I certainly have my problems with him - I just don’t know where he’s going to wind up when a new issue comes across. And needless to say, the media will have a field day with his personal life...much worse than what they tried to do with Cain, since Newt really does have some problems there (which he admits to...but even so).

The other thing to consider is who can beat Obama. Cain is making a really serious move to get the black vote...and I think he’ll get enough to neutralize the usual Democrat advantage in any election. I doubt Newt would have a chance at improving over other Republicans. Note also that this Cain ‘scandal’ broke just as Cain was starting to press abortion as a genocide of blacks (which it is) - that in itself could cause blacks to sit out the election, rather than vote for Obama.

I agree. I am going by the corrolary to Buckley’s rule. We need to promote the most viable conservative to take on the establishment rino. romney is obviously trying the divide and conquer approach and has the most to gain by these inter-necine feuds.

Well, you gotta admit, Cain DOESN’T have that SLIM lead he had a couple of weeks ago...he has a MUCH BIGGER LEAD NOW, so I guess his slim lead didn’t last after all. Apparently they don’t dare mention money any longer as it seems that Cain’s cash flow is steadily increasing. Since Cain was never a serious candidate and is only running to promote his book I suppose his biggest problem is finding a way to drop out while he is ahead, he wouldn’t want to risk actually getting nominated, if he did he might win the general election and then he wouldn’t have time to promote his book! He needs to drop out soon to clear the way for Perry.

Closed captioned for the sarcasm impaired.

FR is a very influential site. It is important that the more sane of those participating here make our views be known.

One thing you will find browsing around here is that there are serious posters and not serious posters. Most of the non-seriousness circles around lying about Rick Perry’s record.

Many people don’t know the real record about Perry, and the purpose of these anti-Perry people is to make sure you never do, through bullying and name-calling. It’s high school amateur hour for these people.

I am here to provide the truth about Rick Perry. And I am not deterred by childish high school insults*.

I hope you hang around and help advance the message and the truth.

Joe

* For proof of the childish high school insults, watch the responses to this post.

I am totally a Newt Gingrich supporter, but (in looking for a good anti-Romney backup in case Newt didn’t win) I was really hoping Rick Perry would be the real deal. Sadly, he is not.

It really has nothing to do with his past record, or his agenda (which is fairly good). He has ZERO ability to articulate his message in a clear, coherent way, and rally the country behind what he is selling. He makes George W. Bush sound like Ronald Reagan. He sounds like Obama minus the tele-prompter when he speaks. First you win the argument, then you win the vote. Perry isn’t going to win the argument. Newt will.

“Some anonymous bimbo”

Cain is impressive in so many ways and I don’t want to believe he did wrong.

Maybe (I hope) these stories are exaggerated to smear Hermon, as they did to Bork and Thomas.

But, the Restaurant Association paid the anonymous accuser a year’s salary. Would they do that if something serious didn’t happen?

Then other complaints were made, showing some kind of pattern. Can we ignore that?

“But, the Restaurant Association paid the anonymous accuser a year’s salary. Would they do that if something serious didn’t happen?”

Yes. The cost, time and bad publicity involved in fighting a case where somebody alleges something like this in the Courts would cost FAR more than a measly $45,000. NOTE. I said ALLEGED. In today’s hyper charged politically correct atmosphere ANYBODY can accuse ANYONE about sexual harassment, racial discrimination, etc. and cause enough of a problem to any employer to do anything about it.

If there were ANY substance to this, she would have been a VERY STUPID Bimbo to have settled for just $45,000.00.

“Then other complaints were made, showing some kind of pattern. Can we ignore that?”

WHO are these accusers? Christ asked the prostitute who was there to condemn her? Don’t we even grant that to people here anymore? DO we use star chamber proceedings where a person is not required to face their accuser? And WHAT were those “charges”. That bastard snake attorney wouldn’t even allow them to be released.

This situation was not really generated by the left. That bastard snake attorney, I believe, practices in TEXAS. At any rate, that was where a practice with a lawyer with his name and business was listed in the Net.

MY guess is Perry - a real twit - is involved in this in some way. Or perhaps even Romney.

Unless we get an accuser WILLING to step forth and IDENTIFY themselves, and SPECIFICALLY authorize release of the nature of the acts alleged here, this is not worth the time spent on it. Its a hatchet job by a political opponent,

I noticed the title of this poll on Newsmax the other day. It completely left out how Herman was doing until you read the story. It made me believe that Mitt and Newt were winning...but they are down by a LOT to Cain. Now for Towery...he has never liked Cain from what I gather. He is echoing what everyone is saying about Herman...but there is one problem, the campaign is still going strong. If he thinks Romney and Newt can gain 15% on Cain without a major gaffe from Cain, he is crazy.
