If Cain drops out we will never win because enemy will have won too easy I will continue to support cain
Thank you for your kind words. We got Life magazine back then—in fact my Dad had copies back to 1937!!!??? I remember to this day the cover of the issue showing the scene of the barely-alive survivors of the concentration camps which our troops liberated. I wonder who the photographer was. Inside were many heartbreaking photos.
The 2nd vivid memory is the world famous photo on the last page of the sailor kissing the nurse during the victory celebration. I was 12 then and a very curious child—that only got worse as I got older! :)
In contrast to the “let it all (and more) hang out” attitude of today, when my mother saw me looking at the photos of bare-breasted African women in National Georgraphic, she took it away from me without a word. Makes me laugh every time I think about it.
Nullifying the race card is a huge loss, but worse: Herman is a candidate who isn’t afraid to be impolite in knocking Obie on his ass. It’s a twofer that spells death for Obie and his ideaology.
Why go for a cheap thrill exactly
Looks like they pulled it, whatever it was.
Prove it, n00b.
Why does this one read her statements? If you are telling the truth, you don't need a script, you don't have to remember what you said because it will come out the same every time.
Is that the reason for Allred being there? To control what she does and doesn't say? To keep her from embellishing the story with details that will expose it as a fabrication?
Good for you!
There were prisoners of war on Long Island? I never knew that; just wasn’t told, probably. I grew up in Brightwaters, LI!
An uncle was a Navy commander, stationed in the way-boonies of the Idaho mountains in the early 40’s, where there was a prison camp for German army officers. I spent a few months there during that time. It was so isolated the prisoners had considerable freedom, and I remember them being very kind - though not speaking English. Perhaps they were glad to be out of the war!
One of the things I remember during those was years is that during the air raids there would be bright spotlights searching the sky for enemy planes. There were flat railroad cars that had huge spotlights mounted on them, and we were so tickled when Dad got a Lionel model of one for our familiy’s model railroad setup in the basement.
The air raid drills - my grandfather was an air raid warden, and in the blackness of one night was hit and killed by a truck - which of course had its’ headlights off!
I had forgotten about those Life photos - the one on the last page each week. Like they saved the best for last. It had a ‘catch’ name, didn’t it? I don’t recall what that was. I still miss that magazine. Growing up, it was one of the highlights of the week...LOL...no iPads, or personal phones/texting, or even tv! No malls, and NO high school kids had their own cars! And no McDonald’s for kids to have jobs after school - just babysitting, or maybe a Saturday job at Woolworths. All stores closed at 5:00 PM - remember that?! And nothing opened on Sunday but one bakery and one drug store and the bakeries and drug stores had a self-imposed rotating schedule, so everyone had a turn. Of course, nothing was opened on Sundays - it never would have even been considered, because all stores were locally owned Mom & Pop enterprises, and Sunday was church/family day. Today’s communities and families have no comprehension of what they’re missing: there was such a peaceful sweetness to life when we were children growing up...family, and our nation under God. *sigh*
Quite the TROLL you are... it seems you signed up within the last month for the express purpose of bashing Herman Cain. Looking forward to seeing your ZOT. You are well on your way in light of your talent for spewing DU and RINO talking points.
Your Dad is a wise man.
The reading from a script was very telling, but the real problem for them is they overplayed their hand.
