The Daily, the tablet newspaper, named one of the women who filed a sexual harassment claim against Republican front-runner Herman Cain while he was CEO of the National Restaurant Association.
The woman, identified by the paper as Karen Kraushaar, now works as communications director at the Treasury Department's Office of the Inspector General.
Cain has sought to downplay the charge — calling it frivolous — saying she overreacted to a gesture comparing her height to his wife's.
But the paper spoke to friends and family members of Kraushaar who vouch for her honesty — saying she is not the type to bring false allegations.
“She wouldn’t be the type to make false allegations,” brother-in-law Ned Kraushaar, a Georgia software consultant, told The Daily. “This happened [more than] 10 years ago. It’s not like she wanted to try and hurt the Republican Party.”
Joel Bennett, her attorney, held a press conference on Friday to say that his client would not speak publicly.

The only incidents that have any credibility are the 2 where complaints were filed and monies paid. NRA has dropped the confidentiality clauses. Can he publish the documents with names redacted? It would go a long way

Karen Kraushaar Yup, he was my first boss. I had a job in the White House, summer of 1976. It was fun.. Typed a lot of Presidential thank you notes and enjoyed the fireworks celebrating the Bicentennial.

Very odd that your first post to FR is this to me hinting that the woman worked for Gerald Ford when she was a kid for a summer in 1976. What does this matter? Do you have a link to the information?

All the media are documenting every slight change in emphasis that comes from Cain's mouth. I wonder if anyone has the time to see the twists and turns of the accusser story - if was a non-sexual gesture and now it's painted as he practically grabbed her by the hair to drag her to bed.
Interesting that they can only get testimonials from relatives ... makes me think more and more that the Politico reporter is her relative - these were the only phone numbers he had available for fact checkers [LOL!] to call - relatives.
Just one word of advice..tread lightly while you are getting the hang of things. We have lots of liberal trolls trying to post here and if they are sniffed out..they get the zot. Your post raised my viking kitty ears because you were new and there wasn’t much context there, other than what looked like an attempt to put this woman in a republican administration and take the heat off of Obama.

Where did you see that the NRA lifted both agreements? I cannot find evidence there even IS a second agreement outside what Politico says.
She certainly does want to hurt Cain’s Republican candidate chances for president though. If she did not, she would come out and say just what was the harrassment Cain made toward her. If Cain were smart he would demand that the National Resturant Assn make public the allegations made against him. If he doesn’t do this, it looks like he really is guilty of some kind of sexual harrassment. I don’t think he has to care about the 4th accuser as she is not a credible victim.

Five accusers: one Obama administration employee, one psycho who hugged Cain just last month, and three who are completely anonymous and provide no details. Yep, according to the MSM, that’s justification for settling for Romney.
