All the naysayers on this board who say that Cain can't win, and the pundits who have said the same, should ask themselves why the administration and their supporters on the left feel that it is important to try destroying Cain's candidacy. They need to ask themselves why the left would risk African American backlash by trashing a black man who is running for the Presidency.

The reason is clear. They know that Cain is legitimate and poses a tremendous threat not only to the Obama Presidency, but also to the current coalition of the Democrat party. He is a tremendous and credible threat to them, and they know it.

The MSM should be considering the possibility that a backlash against this kind of journalism-of-personal-destruction could propel Cain into the White House. 0bama has a history of smearing Republican primary candidates. Look at what he did to Ryan in the Illinois U.S. Senate primary. Ryan was involved in a messy divorce. 0bama torpedoed Ryan and drew a weak Republican opponent, Alan Keyes, in the general election. The rest is history.
