Fed up! McCain predicts rise of third political party

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senator John McCain predicted on Tuesday a third political party will emerge in response to Americans' economic frustrations and said it might as well be called "the Fed-Up Party."

The Republican Party's presidential nominee in 2008 raised the possibility of a third party about a year ago, but his comments on Tuesday suggest he has hardened his views as polls show Americans increasingly disillusioned with Washington politics.

The 75-year-old McCain may now be the most prominent politician forecasting Americans will look to another party to compete with Democrats and Republicans.

"Unless both parties change, then I think that it's an inevitability. We aren't doing anything for the people," McCain said in blunt remarks at the Reuters Washington Summit.

(snip)

"No, I don't think so," he said when asked whether he would saddle up with a third-party movement. "I will continue to complain about things but ... I still haven't given up on the Republican Party."

(snip)

"The Tea Party was a movement, not an organization, as we know. And so they've kind of receded. There was never any permanency to them," he said.

Politics in America is like the foreign policy of Great Britain for centuries - based on a balance of power in which no power is allowed to be too much stronger than the other powers.

In the case of our politics, the people who are in charge of society make certain that the parties have relative parity over time so that we all feel as though our votes matter.

Since the left is not working too well lately, the Conservatives stand to gain, possibly too much, so the middle-of-the-roaders need to bring the conservative down a peg or two.

The inside the beltway Rockefeller Republicans are the ones who are trying to dilute conservative principles, because they cannot have a landslide. Carl Rove, Perry, and Romney, along with Juan McCain, are some of the balance of power elite that will never permit a clear verdict by the people.

They will maintain the conflict, and the charade that we all matter in an election.

We need to repeal the 17th Amendment.

They are why we need congressional term limits.

Long before that happens, we need a return to Constitutional governance. When that happens, we won’t need term limits nor will we have two bodies of representatives, neither one doing what the Constitution demands of them. States will be re-enthroned in their proper position, and we the people will be in control of the limited power we loan to public servants, state and federal. “I have a dream”.

Well, yes. The fact is that the victory of a true conservative American candidate at this point would spell the end of the GOP as these assholes know it.

For the first time in many years shitballs like McCain, Boehner, McConnell, Snowe, Collins, et al would have to go out and actually work for a living.

One of the most intelligent things that John has said in years.

If Myth is the nominee, Sarah will run as a third party candidate and win.

It's been her plan all along. She knew the Democrat/RINO/state-controlled media cabal would choose the GOP candidate again, which would leave the field wide open for an actual Tea Party conservative candidate, no matter what flag he/she was running under.

Senator, if you really believe that, why have you been such a useless twit for the past twenty years?

More recently, if you really believe that, why did you choose to run such an ineffectual campaign in 2008?

Finally, why should we believe anything you say, given your history of calling us 'assholes' and 'bigots'?

Go away, John. Just go away...

“McInsane has inside knowledge of the attitude of the RINO ruling elite Republicans, and knows they would rather destroy the entire party than win with a true conservative candidate.”

Post of the day. Bears repeating.

McCain is one of the greatest reason Republicans are fed up.

We are damned sure fed up with him and his idiot daughter.

If McCain wants to ‘do’ for the people - RATHER than protect us from the idiots who want to ‘do’ for us - on our dime - then he should join the dems and constantly criticize them.

I suggest the Tea Parties get back out there

I suggest just the opposite, think Sun Tzu: let the enemy think you are weak when you are strong.

If you get polled, like 180 about your intentions.

Run under the radar. Do NOT let the left know what kind of votes they have to cook up to ~match their canvassing and polling. Keep your ground game quiet but growing.

Let the RINOS and RATS think last November was much an anomaly as November 2008 was.

I meant ‘lie’ 180 about your intentions. Remember that Wisconsin clerk that TWICE delayed her precinct’s tallies which screwed the rats their victory.

THAT’S civil disobedience, in the time of Zero, Acorn and SEIU.

That’s funny, since the day it became apparent that the formerly grand old party was going to nominate John Judas McCain was the day I decided to start a new party.

I suggest the Tea Parties get back out there.

Patience. It's going to be a long, hot summer next year. Let this OWS nonsense go to its inevitable flaming, fiery death and remind people next summer that taxpayers and ordinary Americans will speak with a united voice next November.
