Cain aide wrongly insists they've 'confirmed' accuser's son works for POLITICO (Is Not Related)

Herman Cain campaign manager Mark Block, in an appearance with Sean Hannity on Fox News just now, insisted that a relative of the second woman to publicly accuse the candidate of sexual harassment in the 1990s works at POLITICO.

"Her son works at POLITICO," Block said of Karen Kraushaar, whose name POLITICO printed earlier today after other media outlets made her identity public.

Continue Reading "I've been hearing that all day - you've confirmed that now?" Hannity asked.

"We've confirmed that he does indeed work at POLITICO and that's his mother, yes," said Block.

Block appeared to be referring to former POLITICO reporter Josh Kraushaar, who left for another outlet, National Journal, in 2010.

Josh Kraushaar tweeted earlier in the day, apparently after getting questions, that he's in fact not related to Karen Kraushaar, and simply has the same last name.

Going public and claiming to have "confirmed" that her son works for Politico is a major blunder.

Not only does this person not work for Politico, he isn't even related to the accuser. Yikes!

He may have moved on but his picture remains at Politico’s website.

Picture or not, he doesn’t work there. Also, it appears he’s not related to her, ccwman. Cain claimed he was her son. That’s a hell of a blunder.

More evidence, Mark Block is a loose cannon.

I had a bad feeling about how Block paused before he answered Hannity and thought...he doesn't seem sure and he should say they're still researching it...but then he went ahead and confirmed it.

Now, if this turns out to be true, then IMHO Cain needs to start considering another campaign manager.

Cain needs to fire Block. He’s an inexperienced campaign manager and a loser who has miserably failed Cain for this anticipated onslaught.

Hannity had Block on and treated it like a big exclusive.

Amazing blunder. He needs to get rid of Block. Isn’t Block the one who pushed the ‘Perry did it’ message, when the guy they were accusing also worked for Romney. Yes, unless they can prove up that tie, Block is certainly a loose canon.

IF.... Cain was smart he would capitalize on this issue like a democrat..
And develop a team to prepare sound bites and appearances with prepared sound bites..

“They” are expecting him to “RUN away”... when he should run AT the problem.. for all the FREE advertising..
He could also “BAIT” them.. to expose themselves..
Because they ARE EXPOSED NOW.. you must merely corner them on taped/live TV..

It would only work a few times until they caught on..
That he was “using”them... THEN he could deride them for their cowardice..

He could come clean on all the other alleged crimes he’s done..
Like murdering his mother.. kicking his dog.. spitting on the sidewalk.. and killing mice and cockroaches in his house..

He could confess to killing a few fish when he has off hours.. as well..

Yeah, for all of the blasting of false accusations, it’s looking more and more like it was Team Romney behind the original leak (Cain accused Perry); and now Team Cain points a false accusation at some guy whose only crime was having the same last name as one of the accusers.

Someone has got to teach this candidate and team that you can respond to accusations immediately, but you really need to WAIT before you start leveling counter-accusations at other people.

Politico has ZERO credibility. It’s nothing but a Communist hit piece. They only appeal to those who hate America.
