Cain Gets Major Applause At Debate After Dismissing Harassment Claim
Real Clear Politics ^ | 11/9/11

CAIN: Yes. BARTIROMO: You know that shareholders are reluctant to hire a CEO where there are character issues. Why should the American people hire a president if they feel there are character issues?

CAIN: The American people deserve better than someone being tried in the court of public opinion based on unfounded accusations. That's...

And I value my character and my integrity more than anything else. And for every -- one person that comes forward with a false accusation, there are probably -- there are thousands who would say none of that sort of activity ever came from Herman Cain.

You're right. This country's looking for leadership. And this is why a lot of people, despite what has happened over the last nine days, are still very enthusiastic behind my candidacy. Over the last nine days...

Over the last nine days, the voters have voted with their dollars, and they are saying they don't care about the character assassination. They care about leadership and getting this economy growing and all of the other problems we face.

Cain said he had never met the woman..

Not only is Herman Cain flatly calling his accuser, Sharon Bialek, a liar, he says he doesn’t even remember her at all.

“I reject all accusations,” he said in a defiant interview with ABC/Yahoo. “I don’t remember that. And also I don’t remember knowing her.”

In a defiant interview with ABC/Yahoo, Cain repeatedly stressed that he couldn’t recollect anything about Bialek, saying he didn’t even have a glimmer of recognition when he saw her take the podium at her press conference on Monday. He denied that he has acted improperly with women in the workplace at any time in his career despite reports that the National Restaurant Association settled two sexual harassment complaints against him in the 1990s.

Worth repeating in big bold letters.... and I will say that I've been a proud supporter of Herman Cain to become President of the United States since the RightNation 2010 event here in Chicago that fall when we had a chance to hear all these great speakers and vote in a straw poll that night!

"He sounded like Ronald Reagan when he said the third thing that was wrong with Dodd/Frank was Dodd and Frank. HA!"

You smeared Cain and then made out it was no big deal.

THAT was your one and only point agenda.

Your text was practically word-for-word what other concern trolls said about Sarah Palin and those false, not-true rumors about her and some basketball player.

Just to help you 'get it', here is a counter-example.

We all know you like having sex with transgender prostitutes in the cold-meat section of Wal-Mart.

It's OK, we understand! Don't bother denying it, we forgive you!

You spittle forth, in 'feint' praise, "So one afternoon he got a bit fresh with a woman. He didn’t rape her, he didn’t offer monetary reward for her complicity, he just tried to get some. It didn’t work. Boo Hoo."

Your methodology is so alinskyesque I'm tempted to assign you the 'barry bassturd worker from axelgreasy's basement' award. You really need to learn how to play the 'feint praise' game better. You're innuendo efforts are crude and frankly, stupid. Did you expect Freepers to go along with your 'as long as business is hummin' any behavior at the work place is okay'? What a maroon.

“Run a microscope over my life and I would never run for office.”

Same here. I wish the stupid press would realize just how easy it is to accuse someone of something these days. One odd act you will get labeled a nutcase; one question asked to the wrong person will get someone hysterical and screaming.

I can’t even figure out what side you take on this is either.
I doubt that you were ever a Cain supporter or ever would be.

Many people forgot about the notion of 1-2 yrs campaign is to weed out
candidates, it is like speed dating, you try to hook up
with one while trying to see if others could do the jobs
as well.

A few weeks ago, Cain was the man, I gave 8.5 score,
then I downgraded him after listening to his response
on abortion, then a week later another downgrade when
he said he would negotiate with terrorism, and finally
downgrade him to 0.0 after seeing his handling of the
sexual issue.
Today, he is -5.0 on my 1-10 scale.
Why? Because after watching the 2 pressers, I believe
what Bialek said about: you want a job, right?
and on Cain’s presser, it shows him exactly the opposite
of what I thought who he really was.

Character and integrity are important.
These contribute to decisions making and how a Pres
would deal with situations.

Regarding sexual issue, lets eliminate Bialek from
the equation! Cain said on the debate last night about
people judging without knowing the facts! hahaha.. well,
he was given his chance, on his presser when asked
about Karen K. harassment case, he said it was baseless
and to the effect something about his cimment about her
height is about the same as his wife’s.
What are we? children? LOL.

Cain was lying throuhg the teeth at the presser.
If what he did to Karen K. was insignificant, he could
simply just say at the presser: Well, NRA has waived
the non-disclosure clause, I ask now that Ms.K comes
forward with all the documents and let public judge.

Thats the true test, and Cain failed.
The tsunami is coming soon.. trust me.

I found it by accident when googling the Franklin debacle in light of the Pen State coverup.

It’s an interesting and exploitable coinkidink that’s going to require more than just “awe shucks I was just kidding”.

Just sayin’.

1. You need to learn how to spell faint.
2. You caught me, I have been on here since 1998 specificly under David Axelrods orders.
3. My whole point is that I don’t care what he did or tried to do. I suppose putting “even IF he did...” would have been a good idea.
4. When it comes to government, yes as long as things run smoothly and efficiently, I don’t care what they do to get a smile after work. No harm no foul here.

I’m not trusting you until you have a more cogent argument that doesn’t sound like it’s coming from Democratic Underground. If you notice the majority of people around here who argue against Cain make comments that actually make sense. There’s not an ounce of logic in your arguments and it’s all based on “feeling”.

Why is his comment about her being the same height as his wife not valid? It’s actually what he was asked about when the NRA was investigating. Since they found her charges without merit, they obviously had issues with her story as well. Her lawyer didn’t even have a strong enough case to take her complaint to the EEOC, the board charged with investigating sexual harassment claims. The fact that she did something similar at the next job she had, that should be considered when assessing her credibility.

You have to do better than “Cain was lying through his teeth”. Why would his not stating the obvious (the fact that she’d been released from her non disclosure agreement had been in the news for a few days) be evidence of his lying. His press conference was to state HIS case. That’s what’s required of him. It’s the women’s (or at the very least their lawyer’s) responsibility to tell their side. With no charges of harassment in the agreement she signed with her lawyer and an investigation where her complaint was found without merit, it’s a he said, she said situation.

Why waste his press conference saying what everyone already knew? She’s been free for a while now and still won’t address her charges. If it were that big of a deal and she thought it mattered to his viability as a candidate why hasn’t she spoken out about what happened? Sexual harassment charges can be made for just about anything a woman wants, from a gesture to “hey baby, you want that promotion you’ll have to prove it to me”. Clearly the first could be completely misinterpreted (as could possibly be the case here since it was dismissed without merit). Even her lawyer who is speaking out on her behalf only says “he’s seen them and it is sexual harassment.” I hardly expect him to say anything different.

Still, you’re saying he was lying through his teeth so I want you to show me why you think that. Don’t give me the lame argument about him not mentioning she was free from her agreement because that’s not evidence. Everyone knows she was free to talk. Her lawyer is free to talk on her behalf. Ironically, his language is a little suspect as well. If you listen to his comments he says he’s READ her statement and it definitely was harassment. He didn’t say I took her case because I believed her and still do (or anything to indicate he was actually there). If you remember, the case was so insignificant HE didn’t even remember it, had no file on it and had to go to the client to find out the details.

If you honestly believe Cain is pro choice and he’d negotiate with terrorists you haven’t been listening. Many prominent people in the pro life movement have come forward attesting to his pro life credentials. If you listen to that interview, he was asked whether a girl who was raped should have to RAISE the child of her rapist. He said that was mixing apples and oranges (i.e. just because you choose life doesn’t mean you can’t choose adoption instead of raising that child and that would be a family decision).

I am aware of the word feint. But google “feint praise” and you will only come up with responses for “faint praise” Thats because feint praise would be to appear to praise in one direction while actually praising in anouther. Faint praise would be an easily seen through, weak praise. Just like their and there, these words are called homonyms. FreeRepublic is a big place, must be enough room for one Atheist, Anti Abortion, Libertarian Conservative.

You poor thing, you're in over your smarmy head. Go read what I wrote initially. Notice the little marks before and after feint? When/if your education improves, you might learn what that signifies.

Oh, and 'Have nice day'.

. Just because I happened to like a particular expensive
car model, and later it was mentioned that many mobsters
own them, too, does not mean that Im also a mobster.
Not all republicans like Cain, otherwise he would be
like at 40% in the poll, no? :)

. Some posters mentioned why there was barely any posts
and suddenly I started posting a lot - could it be that
perhaps there was extra time in my hand?

. A woman would be quite unreasonable in just by saying
her height is the same as someone’s (superior’s) wife
that it would be construed as an harassment.
The lawyer Bennett said on interview on CNN after the
Cain’s presser, that the harassment happened in multiple
days and he indicated that the severity is not

. Karen K. former boss was also interviewed on CNN
and she said Karen told her on the phone recently that
her boss (Maria Cardona) saved her from the monster (”Cain”)
when she hired her in late 1990s to work for INS - the
next job after departing from NRA.

Here is the story;

. By the way, I didnt mean about the quantity (# of
possible women that would come forward), rather the
veracity of their claims.
Karen K. and Bialek will appear together soon:

Once they have the public speaking, within weeks
Cain’s # will drop, and his camp will know that, and
once it reaches beyond the point of no return (similar
to Pawlenty when he realized his # was just not there,
or Palin realizing the# is not high enough for her),
there is no other way, but Cain’s camp will fold their
tents then.

Did it ever occur to you these women want to “band together” because it’s clear their stories are bullshit and don’t hold up by themselves? If I throw 4 eggs blindly at someone, there’s a greater chance of getting a hit as opposed to just throwing one.

If you want to be a tool of the Obama administration and the country club RINOs, keep attacking Cain and taking the sides of these unstable, lying women. Kraushaar says she’s afraid for her safety and that’s why she needs others there. That is complete nonsense and everyone knows it.

Didnt Cain's camp initially claim the leak to Politico came from Perry's? I think Gingrich is a better candidate, overall. Once written off, Gingrich surges Polls reflect strong showings in debates

Sounds similar to my story.

It just makes me so angry to hear these women lie about being “harassed” because it hurts women(or men) who are REALLY going thru it...

They already got paid for the great emotional upheaval and trauma supposedly caused by Mr Cain, so what is the point?

Besides, Bill Clinton set the bar real high when it comes to being offended by a sexual innuendo-heck-he did the deed and got away with it!

These women get no pity from me and I think most Americans see thru their charade simply because they already got reimbursed a year’s pay for their supposed trauma.

And if I were a guy, I would be really pee-od; once again, a conservative straight guy was accused of being offensive....that’s hetero-phobic.

Hope your friend is well; I had a bad night last night myself...maybe I would feel better if somebody paid me..;)
