Cain Gets Major Applause At Debate After Dismissing Harassment Claim
Real Clear Politics ^ | 11/9/11

CAIN: Yes. BARTIROMO: You know that shareholders are reluctant to hire a CEO where there are character issues. Why should the American people hire a president if they feel there are character issues?

CAIN: The American people deserve better than someone being tried in the court of public opinion based on unfounded accusations. That's...

(APPLAUSE)

And I value my character and my integrity more than anything else. And for every -- one person that comes forward with a false accusation, there are probably -- there are thousands who would say none of that sort of activity ever came from Herman Cain.

You're right. This country's looking for leadership. And this is why a lot of people, despite what has happened over the last nine days, are still very enthusiastic behind my candidacy. Over the last nine days...

(APPLAUSE)

Over the last nine days, the voters have voted with their dollars, and they are saying they don't care about the character assassination. They care about leadership and getting this economy growing and all of the other problems we face.

(APPLAUSE)

character is important.
cain was a new kid in town, and people began to learn
more about him and his past.
however, i dont think he did well in the presser from
arizona the other day.
ms. bialek probably sugar-coated her story, but i believe
essentially what she said has merits.
the fact the cain said that he didnt meet her in d.c. for
dinner, it is troubling because records can easily be digged
out, e.g. credit card transactions etc.
imo, this is a major error on cain’s part as if he was
playing pokers at the presser. im sure many cain
supporters would strongly disagree with me.
(i was pro cain until i saw how he handled the situation
when it started about 2 weeks ago. he is a goner.
gingrich has the momentum now.

I am sorry but you are full of BS. There is no evidence that any of these charges are anything but a nasty attempt to assassinate Herman Cain's character. You have got to be an incredibly bad judge of character if you believe the two woman who have been identified over Mr. Cain. They both have more baggage than the underside of a 747. And you must be watching different press conferences, appearances, and debates than I am. I think it is unbelievable how well Mr. Cain is doing. He is incredibly inspirational. I don't know how he manages to keep it up. On my days off I make breakfast, go grocery shopping, pick up my wife's dry cleaning and I need to go home and take a nap.

i dont think so, it’s the exact opposite. i can judge
a character quite well. if we go by body languages,
when lawyer allred gave the intro, look at the video again,
bialek was more than ready to jump into starting her
statement. if a person lies, he/she would not do that.
it is similar to amanda knox’s body language in italian
courts, how passionate she was in trying to prove her
innocence.
the opposite was true, i watched the previous debates
and cain was full of energy; at the presser, his energy
was low, you could detect the context of his voice
and expressions.
after the presser, i think john king interviewed a
cain’s friend on cnn, and he said his wife/family was
not even there at the presser. one could ponder why that is. contrast that to clinton+hillary together
trying their best to b.s. the people when they actually
knew bill did it, i.e. the 60 minutes interview in 1992(?)

Cain would deal with Iran better than teleprompter Zero is doing, and as good as any of the GOP contenders.

You have any better idea’s on how to deal with Iran?
And do not get your head up into you derriere worrying about Iran. Pakistan has 100 nukes already and Bin Laden was living there in relative comfort, a stone’s throw from their military academy. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Most Perry Supporters are looking for the most conservative man in the race.

I tend to think 60% of them will switch to Cain.

Everybody and his brother thinks they are great judges of character. That’s why we have a legal system. We really are not that good at it. Without hard evidence, a person in our system gets a presumption of innocence. You know about the high tech voice analysis that was done on Cain, right? Objective science says he spoke with the voice qualities of a man speaking the truth. Then there’s Coulter’s new piece, showing a clear path to Axelrod as the planner of the hit. This is real war. We have to make the other side work for everything they get. That means we don’t just hand them the ball if they come after us. We stand with our guy, we give him the blocking he needs, and we drag him over the goal line if we have to. This is for the money.

hi-tech has errors, sure it’s possible cain may have
passed the stress test, or falls within that 5% margin
of error. why not.
sure, bialek could have been used by others,
but her story has merits. it will come out more later.
and when that time comes, cain wont be able to
sustain that tsunami.

You really think Herman will get Rick Perry’s 6% when Perry drops out? I hope so. I could live with a Cain or a Gingrich Ticket. I still think whomever the nominee is, Marco Rubio needs to be the choice for VEEP. Herman or Newt could give the other one a Cabinet position.

I think you must have a true mental disorder.

You would have to suspend all manner of belief to even buy the set up of her story.

First she is working for a lobbying group based in DC but she works in the Chicago office. She works for the office for one year. She has maybe met Cain one time (according to her) at a group dinner.

She is living with her ‘Boy Friend’ A pediatrician who advises her to fly to DC and meet with Mr. Cain. The CEO of the firm. RIGHT! She is able to get ahold of Mr. Cain, I am sure her call would be sent right through by the secretary, All terminated employees are the first call that a CEO takes. She convinces him to meet her, for what reason. She says it is to ask for help with a job. He asks her halfway through dinner ‘why are you here’ (Her words again)

She claims her 'Boy Friend' gets her the room at he Hilton, but Cain upgrades her, HOW. The Hilton would not only not divulge her presence prior to her checking in, they would never tell him what room she was in much less ever allow for him to upgrade a guest of theirs. Just doesn't happen, it is totally against any policy they have ever had. ( I have over a million Hhonors points and have staid in hundreds of Hilton properties during the time period this was to occur. They never divulge info about room numbers and guest suites VS. rooms. NEVER!

She goes to dinner, ALONE, with Cain. Tarted up I am sure. She allows him to drive her away from the hotel where he has supposedly secured an upgraded SUITE in order to drive her to the street or lot outside the local office in order to ‘out the moves on her’ WHY? He has her in a suite. She is obviously;y as dumb as a post she flew 600 miles to talk t the head of a company that just fired her to have her help with a job.

She also has had TWO bankruptcies in ten years and is rumored to be in the process of another, She hasn't had a job in years, lives high on the hog, been involved in many legal fights over money and PATERNITY with more than one person, OVER THE SAME KID. That doesn't sound good.

Attending Physician: Who is the father for the birth certificate.

Buy-A-Lick: Could be one of at least two guys, let me get back to you after my attorney does a financial assessment on them.

As far as her statement was concerned. She related an unbelievable story in a halting manner after being coached by the biggest legal Hack in the country.

For the love of God, I thought Allred’s neck snapped when she heard that ambulance go by!

Total fraud. So is the other ‘aggrieved party’

Really, capitalization is your friend. Try this for body language...what the heck was she doing laughing and talking with the press about her new hairdo. Even her attorney told her to quit talking. Doesn’t show a lot of seriousness for something that she was so traumatized by that event that she remembers everything except the date, restaurant and other specific details (oh she did remember what she was wearing so that’s something).

A person that lies wouldn’t do that? What about that whole finger shaking “I did not have sex with that woman”. That was pretty bold. And why wouldn’t she want to get on with it? If she’s lying she may just want to get through the damn thing so she can get off the stage. There was nothing natural about that. It was like she was reading about something she’d never been a part of...way too much hesitation and an inability to say anything not written down.

I don’t have a clue what Amanda Knox has to do with this and frankly, I can’t even figure out what side you take on this is either. But I’d really like to hear the specific “context” of his voice (whatever that means) and expressions you’re talking about? When? During what part? What was he talking about when you noticed?

Well, Cain said previously, even before this that his wife isn’t going to be the typical campaign wife. She’s not as comfortable as professional political wives and prefers to support her husband in a more traditional way. Good for her. We aren’t electing a first lady, we’re electing a president. Oh, and using Clinton and Hillary for an example...Clinton was guilty (as are almost every guy who trots is wife in front of the camera when he has to admit to being a creep). So, he’s guilty and doesn’t have the support of his wife because she didn’t stand by his side like the wives of MEN WHO WERE GUILTY? That’s some pretty twisted logic there.

I missed the debate; had to attend a Tea Party meeting in Weaverville, but I did catch some news when I got home.
The fact that the media slime was booed when they tried to pillory Mr. Cain with these unfounded accusations made me hopeful that the American public might be waking up to their underhanded smear tactics. I will wait and see though, the sheeple can fall back asleep very quickly.
