Posted on 11/10/2011 7:01:47 AM PST by BunnySlippers
What he said was twice as shocking as anything that's been released thus far.
"I can give you a rumor and I can give you something I think might happen," Madden told John Dennis and Gerry Callahan. "I hear there's a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the Second Mile Foundation -- and hold on to your stomachs, boys, this is gross, I will use the only language I can -- that Jerry Sandusky and Second Mile were pimping out young boys to rich donors. That was being investigated by two prominent columnists even as I speak."
Madden also spoke more definitively to the cover-up efforts at the school and beyond that he expects will be made public soon.
"The other thing I think that may eventually become uncovered, and I talked about this in my original article back in April, is that I think they'll find out that Jerry Sandusky was told that he had to retire in exchange for a cover-up," Madden said. "If you look at the timeline, that makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

Jerry Sandusky started The Second Mile to aid children; name was inspired by PSU players and sermon
Published: Thursday, March 31, 2011
The nonprofit organization is now worth $9 million. It brought in $2.6 million in 2010.
In January, the organization received the go-ahead from the Centre County commissioners to apply for a $3 million state grant to pay for an $8.5 million learning center on 60 acres near the University Park Airport.
The proposed facility would eventually have housing for up to 100 children.
Its location wont be far from the Brownson House, a recreation center that Sanduskys father, Art, bought when Sandusky was 12.
The family moved into a top-floor apartment and turned the hall into a YMCA-type facility, where kids could hang out after school, where their chances for getting into trouble were lessened considerably, Sandusky wrote.
His father was a huge influence, he writes. And his experiences with the Brownson House, as described in his book, mirror many Second Mile services.
The name came to me while I was talking with some of our football players in the locker room, he wrote. ... I had just heard a sermon in church about going the extra mile ... And thats when the name came to me.
There is so much wrong with that graph...I dont know where to start.... :o
Yes....if JS was grooming, fondling, raping....then he learned it from somewhere....its no excuse of course... You have to wonder if there are clues in his book 'Touched'.... (just read an article at CSM that people have caused a big ol riot over at amazon because they are selling it on the site)
This rapist is out on $1000,000 bail. Why it is so low, I have no idea.....but is sounds fishy!
This is the stuff of parents’ nightmares.
I feel a larger issue here too is that this is an example of what happens when we make idols of men. We place them on pedestals, we make excuses for their wrongdoing...
Gricar moved to State College, Pennsylvania around 1980, when his wife took a job at Pennsylvania State University ("Penn State"). He opted to become a stay-at-home dad to his young daughter following the move; however, when news spread that a prosecutor was living in the area, Centre County District Attorney David E. Grine offered Gricar an assistant position, which he accepted. The DA position was vacated later that year when Grine became a judge, and Gricar ran for the open position; he won the election by a margin of 600 votes.
A part-time job when he was first elected, Gricar successfully campaigned to make the Centre County DA job a full-time one in 1996. He was re-elected as DA in 1989, 1993, 1997, and 2001. During his tenure as DA, Gricar prosecuted the perpetrator of the 1996 Hetzel Union Building shooting at Penn State. In 1998, Gricar declined to press charges against longtime Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky following allegations of sexual abuse; but 13 years later, in 2011, Sandusky would be arrested and charged by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office on multiple counts of child sexual abuse. In 2004, Gricar announced he would not run for re-election and would retire from both the DA job and as a practicing attorney in December 2005, shortly after his 60th birthday.[
Police and family members noted that the location where the vehicle was found adjacent to two bridges over the Susquehanna River bore some similarities to the location where the vehicle of Roy Gricar, Ray Gricar's older brother, was located before his body was found in the Great Miami River in Ohio in 1996.[10
In April 2009 Bellefonte police revealed that before his disappearance, Gricar used his home computer to perform internet searches on topics such as "how to wreck a hard drive", "how to fry a hard drive", and "water damage to a notebook computer".
lets just hope that Lot does not offer up his daughters....

Why is 1560 sitting on the Kailee Wong interview where Wong states Paterno entered showers with Penn State players.
Is this not at all relevant? Do you have any journalistic duty to release this tape. though nothing is alleged to have happened, is it not at all relevant?
Is it not at all creepy given these allegations? Does it explain his reaction to the story? _____________________________________________________

When I lived in Houston Kailee Wong (former Texans player) was on the morning radio, doing a show. He said that a Penn State guy he played with told him Joe Paterno used to shower with the players. This was like 5 years ago. Back then they talked about it like was a goof. Like a weird old man story or something. But it's strange now that all this stuff comes out.
Not that I think Paterno was doing anything sexual; just that it makes it seem somehow more odd now than then.

Re: Why Paterno will probably be gone. (1 vote)
Yesterday on the 790 morning show, Lance Z. said that Kailee Wong had told him on air a few years ago that an ex-Penn St. football player told him (Kailee) that Paterno would get in the shower with the players, in his birthday suit, and wash the players backs. Matt J. immediately told Lance that he shouldn't spread rumors like that on air, Lance reiterated that Kailee had told him about it on air. _____________________________________________________
~~~~Apparently, Kailee Wong(retired Texans football player) gave an interview around the second or third season(2002-2003) stating that according to a Penn State player, Paterno used to go into the showers naked and scrub other football players backs. It was Lance Zeirlein that did the interview for Chron.com. Sifting thru vids/articles....can't find it.....
The forum link on that site took me to the CNN Michael Jackson info! :o
Do I think it is possible someone was murdered because he was about to open Pandora’s Box? Damned straight.
If Gicar’s disappearance was related to this, the answers come from the top of the pecking order, not the bottom.
That said does this rumor sound plausible given that we're dealing with a homosexual pedophile? Yes it does.
RAY GRICAR : POLICE SAY FORMER PROSCUTOR SEARCHED FOR WAYS TO DESTROY HARD DRIVE < FOUL PLAY THEORY WEAKENED
Centre Daily Times (State College, PA) - Wednesday, April 15, 2009
Author: Sara Ganim email@example.com
It wasn’t until Tuesday that they revealed the extent of Gricar ‘s probable quest to clear the hard drive . They say the state police forensic computer lab found early in the investigation that the searches for information on “Window Washer 5.0” and other hard - drive erasing products had been made on the computer at the home Gricar shared with his live-in girlfriend. Other searches included: “how to wreck a hard drive ,” “how to fry a hard drive ,” “what’s inside a computer ,” “what’s inside a notebook computer ,” and “water damage to a notebook computer .” Investigators previously had disclosed that they had, through interviews, heard that Gricar was talking about ways to erase a hard drive with friends and colleagues about 16 months before he disappeared. A box for such software was seen at his house around January 2004. “The investigation learned early on that Mr. Gricar had, in fact, purchased software to accomplish this,” Rickard said. “It was believed that pending Mr. Gricar ‘s retirement, he may have wanted to erase his county-issued laptop computer prior to returning the laptop to the District Attorney’s Office.”
Thank you for the information.
Father figure // Penn State’s Sandusky helps mold lives off the field
Lancaster New Era
21 Jan 1997: C-1.
He has been a father to six adopted children, has shepherded several more foster children periodically over the years, and is the father of “The Second Mile,” a non-profit organization that helps foster children and other disadvantaged youth.
“It’s an outgrowth out of my own background,” says Sandusky, whose parents ran a youth recreation center near Washington, in western Pennsylvania. The Sandusky family resided in the center while Jerry was growing up. “I saw the life that my parents led and the impact that they had on so many young people.”
