If the rumor is true, then there could be men molesting unprotected children right now. If so, they need to be stopped and punished. That's not the point.
Why on Earth would you HOPE the rumor is true? I want nothing more that to find out there are no more victims and see the guilty (every one of them, including Paterno and McQueary) punished.
Any caring human being would feel the same way.
