Or when the Milwaukee PD handed one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims back to him.

He has a legitimate claim to whistleblower status. Firing him could expose Penn State to millions in a law suit. That said, he should have stomped the perv when he walked in on him.

I guess they could call Saturday’s game, “The Spanier Bowl.”

(Well, hey, Nebraska helped to make Spanier what it is...chose him as their Chancellor from 91 to 95...so the Huskers deserve some of the blame, too...part of the Omaha connection some have been making re: the Franklin situation)

How about the Toilet Bowl, since they must all be hoping they can flush this mess away.

As a "graduate assistant" he had some choices ~ and he reported it to the local responsible folks. They, in turn, had obligations under the law to bring in the cops.

Let me tell you something about going after the big dogs in any bureaucracy ~ you can get hurt.

What is important is he talked to the Grand Jury with an understanding that what he had to say was important.

Subsequently his boss, and his boss' boss have lost their jobs and the target of his testimony is out on $100,000 bail.

The cops would probably have arrived an hour later, at best, and said nothing happened.

They were part of the problem.

Sometimes you don't realize that the FIX IS IN until you come across a moral dilemma that doesn't quite fit what you've been led to believe.

But we live in times of moral collapse - because sodomy amongst adults homosexuals is INSTITUTIONALLY CONDONED, PROTECTED BY GOVERNMENT AND THE LAW and CELEBRATED by a powerful, vocal and morally bankrupt minority segment of the population.

Agreed.

“The police would have been able to prove then and there that the boy had been raped.”

Yes, and I believe, due to the inaction of everyone involved, that they don’t even know the name of that particular victim. Sandusky could have murdered him and dumped his body somewhere for all we know.

When my kids were in grade school, I gave them a daily task: Find somebody to help.

I would ask them everyday after school who they helped out.

Amazing stories came forth - Stopped bullies and name calling on the bus, helped with studying for tests, helped with homework, etc.

The details were always the most interesting.

What a wonderful assignment!

I'll pass that on to my daughter. Her son (my 11-year-old grandson) would relish that sort of assignment.

Right on Joe! Same as my position yesterday. Out of this
whole story, all the different people involved,coulda,woulda,shoulda...nothing galvanizes the situation like this McQueary loser. My contempt for him
is indescribable. Going forward, he shall be known as
Red McPussy. He should be shunned and shamed forever.
What of all these victims, now young men? What was Penns
position on NAMBLA? FRom what i’ve read, they’re SUPER
tolerant!

For some crimes public beheading is neither cruel nor unusual. If the mothers of these victims take matters into their own hands I would love to sit on that jury. Mark Madden also said that the reason McQueary isn't fired is because as an employee he can't talk. The moment he's not on payroll he can say whatever he wants. I'm truly frightened by this. There have to be monsters in very high places for this to have happened like it has. A DA missing and nobody bats an eyelash?

I copied this from - somewhere, long ago plans for writing an article about Virtue and Vice. I grew up reading Howard Pyle’s books about the King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table; how I wanted to live in those books.

THE CODE:
Thou shalt respect the weak and constitute thyself the defender of them.
Thou shalt love the land to which thou hast sworn fealty.
Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy.
Thou shalt make war upon evil without cessation.
Thou shalt scrupulously perform thy noble duties be they not contrary to the laws of the land.
Thou shalt be generous and give freely to everyone.
Thou shalt never lie and shall always be faithful to thy word.
Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil.

THE MEASURE:
A Knight is sworn to Valor;
His heart must know only Virtue;
His Perfect blade must defend the helpless,
And his might shall uphold all weak.
His breath shall bring a word that speaks only truth.
His justly wrath shall undo the wicked.

I’m guessing Howard Pyle was too white and heterosexual to be on any reading lists at PSU.

He wrote his books around the turn of the century, IIRC. He illustrated his books with incredible drawings.

They’re not only excellent books for children who can read pretty well, they’re fun for adults to read out loud to children, or even to themselves.

If you read the Grand Jury report it's the mothers who tried to stand up to him. The public officials and the men did nothing to protect those boys.

The missing DA angle is really weird. It makes you wonder what other secrets there are in that small community.
