Oh, I agree with you “kcvl” (that is, if that dinner even happened at all). I believe all these sexual harassment charges against Mr. Cain are phony/baloney.
I just thought “ozarkgirl” was having some fun with the lawyer’s name in that post of hers that I replied to, so I just wanted to try to use that to underscore the good man’s innocence.
Or it could keep it in the minds of doubters who think that all men are sexual predators.

Do you have any clue what it means to be bound by an agreement of confidentiality? You tell me - you’re under an agreement of confidentiality and somebody in the media asks you about “allegations” but won’t tell you what allegations they are referring to; how do you respond? You can’t say anything about a particular case until it is specifically mentioned, but they won’t ever specifically mention anything so you’re free to address it. What do you do? The only reason for them to refuse to say what the specific charges were was so he would still be bound by the agreement and look like a doofus to people who are such dufuses that they don’t know what an agreement of silence means. Looks like the media snookered you, for instance.
I haven’t made any public announcements in support of my husband either. Would you say I “don’t support him”? This snide gossiping attitude stinks.
There are no verified charges. The allegations made were checked by the NRA and found to be without merit, so what “verified charges” are you talking about? If you’re talking about it being verified that charges were made, Cain acknowledged that, but the agreement of silence means that he cannot talk about the charges unless and until the specifics of those charges are already in the public sphere - and the NRA, the accuser, and the media all refused to make those details public.
And the “verification” that the media can do is all hearsay, since the NRA won’t release the documentation they have, so the question is whether the dems would have seized on a white GOP candidate with NO VERIFIABLE PAPER TRAIL like Cain’s; so tell me about the old, already-investigated-and-dismissed claims against white candidates.
I question that as well. Women can sniff out a lying b!tch pretty well, and something is seriously wrong with any woman who can’t see these gold-diggers and whiny mamby-pambies for what they are.
My sister was sexually harassed to the point that it took her a lot of counseling to deal with the fallour from it. Every time a woman uses false accusations as a gold-digging weapon it makes the real abuses that much harder to believe, and hurts people like my sister. I very much stand with women who have really been harassed, and that means I despise those who just muddy the waters for personal gain.
Exactly what function was Gloria Allred hired to do for this gold-digger who never intended to file a suit - who couldn’t file a suit because the statute of limitations was already up? Why did Bialek need a lawyer? The only attorney work Allred could have done would have been to negotiate some kind of contract. Or maybe defend Bialek in a libel lawsuit... Either way, starting out with a lawyer when there was no legal claim or case being made looks an awful lot like somebody who knows they are libeling somebody else but are hoping to come away from it with a contract of some kind. And then it just so happens that she’s been living beyond her means and is about to declare bankruptcy AGAIN...
Most women - especially those who would have considered supporting Cain in the first place - would see past all that.
The media knew that eventually the public would realize that the accusations were bullcrap. That’s why Politico played their cat-and-mouse garbage with Cain: to trap Cain by asking questions he COULDN’T legally answer, and get Cain’s supporters to think that he handled the situation badly, while giving Cain’s enemies the opportunity to claim that “he lied”, when in reality he was not legally allowed to tell the truth. This was never about the accusations actually being true. Nobody ever thought the accusations were true. It was about trapping Cain between a rock and a hard place, so that even those who support him would say he’s not up to the job of handling the media smears.
Unless we are smarter than the media and their crappy tricks, we will continue to be sucker-punched in this same way, one candidate after another. Our war is against the media. They are enemies of the truth and must be exposed as such.
Mr. Cain... it is now time to unleash the flying monkeys...

Bialek isn't 'on her own'. She's been using Allred as both a 'crutch' and a weapon from jump. Mr. Cain countered with his own weapon, a savvy attorney. The kind Gloria Allred would never face toe-to-toe, mano a mano in a real courtroom.
Thus, it looks like it may well be game, set, match to Mr. Cain...

I suspect it's not the Dems at this point, although they may be complicit. If it were BO's people, they'd wait until after Cain is nominated to execute the smear.
BTW, I don't hear much about Palin's supposed love life lately.
Almost as though the only purpose were to discourage her from running.
It seems that it was, and it worked. But why the sudden lack of interest in Sarah? They really do hate her, but then, liberals hate everyone.
