I remember this story now. The DA who disappeared. Pennsylvania. I finally ‘get’ it. At the time, I wondered why there was so much coverage and what looked like concern.

It wasn’t about him dying/being murdered, was it.

I wondered the same thing in the same manner when Tim Russert died. Newspeople looked freaked.

“Paterno either believed it and did nothing, or chose to believe that a trusted assistant coach (McQueary) was a liar.”

Actually, there are other options/possibilities, too.
Why would he take it no further/follow up? Why did no one?

Snarlen Arlen might have another magic bullet theory there in Pennsylvania......

Would Ed Rendell have known, do you think?

no shame whatsoever...facts previous...former confession of wrong doing with apology... a trail of sexual abuse toward children....40 counts against this beast...and his own mouth wishing he were dead for assulting a child.

Beyond a reasonable doubt has played a game of letting people go who should not have been let go...and others were maimed or killed which followed....

We aren’t talking about “reasonable” doubt...we’re talking about a history of abuse...and yet another victim..number 9 steps forward...and there will be more no doubt.

Nope..no shame here...and furthermore the shame rests in those who continue to “protect” criminals via our insane laws.

It now appears even the home for wayward kids he founded knew of previous charges against him...and even they turned their heads. Hopefully many people will be held accountable.

It’s pretty obvious not a single person stepped up to the plate to protect these kids.....and no inquiry has surfaced where any of those who knew of these happenings checked to see how the kids were doing after the reports were given initially.

JoePa is suffering having come to the realization that he is culpable, that he could have done much to prevent this after 1998.

He did say as much as we know....yet in saying that he also implies others also could have done much to prevent this. It' disturbing as well I haven't read anything in the reports where any of these guys followed up to see how the kids were doing...or if they did they're not saying

Well, Casey never had my support and Toomey just lost it. I voted for him to keep cap and trade supporter Sestak out, but I’d have voted for any stray pet from any animal shelter for that purpose.

What are you talking about? Corbett did the right thing. HE COULDN’T TALK ABOUT THE INVESTIGATION BECAUSE OF GRAND JURY SECRECY LAWS. I think you’re a troll.
