Curtains For Cain
American Thinker ^ | November 12, 2011 | Tom Thurlow

Posted on 11/12/2011 12:33:36 AM PST by reformedcrat

The fatal blow to the campaign has been made. Whether he knows it or not, Herman Cain's campaign is over. I would be overjoyed to be wrong, but the numbers and believability of sexual harassment claims against him have amounted to the critical mass of complaints that end the Cain campaign. It is only a matter of time before everyone realizes it.

While it’s not out of the realm of possiblity that Cain is done, the case in this article isn’t very convincing.

Saying “I’m a lawyer and I could tell she was being honest just by looking at her” doesn’t amount to much in my book.

It’s not a 2-person race. Just because someone doesnt support Cain doesnt mean they support Romney.

Cain and Romney supporters only make up about 45% of the GOP’s total votes (22% each according to RealClearPolitics average). Gingrich is polling 15-20%. Ron Paul and Rick Perry are both taking another 10% each. And about 10-15% are undecided.

So it’s not a 2-person race. And the party is not united.

The electorate is ready for someone “outside the beltway.

The Republican electorate sees these accusations for the drive-by media driven sham that they are.

Buy-a-lick is the only woman to have made a specific accusation, and she is the least credible of a not credible bunch. Outside of her, tell me what Cain has done, exactly? Oh that’s right, you can’t.

Cain is done. Sheesh.

Herman Cain has spent his life living and working all over the country — Indiana, Georgia, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Washington, D.C. — but never in Chicago.

So it’s curious that all the sexual harassment allegations against Cain emanate from Chicago: home of the Daley machine and Obama consigliere David Axelrod.

94 Stories about Cain and alledged sexual misbehavior out of Politico in a week ~ and now you can’t vote for him ?

All accusations come out once he becomes a “front-runner” in opposition to the current adminsitration .
All accusations alledging misbehavior of some 10 -12 years ago.
All accusations of impropriety never result in any criminal charges.
All accusations alledgedly occur while he is President of National Restauranteurs Association. It is common knowledge that most corporations would rather settle for a nominal amount rather than go through the expense to litigate.
Complaintant #2 (unwilling to reveal herself) and #4 are one, and the same, person .
Complainant #2 and #4 (the same person) is represented by Allred who is a known liberal California political (ambulance-chaser)operative with a political agenda and history.
Allegations of impropriety and misbehavior are all “ He said,..She said..” and are NOT SUBSTANTIATED.
The most prominant allegation comes from (”Hatchet-Job”) David Axelrod’s neighbor.

and the Classic:
ALL allegations COME OUT OF CHICAGO

Have you never heard of “JINGO JOURNALISM “ ??

It would be different if journalists actually reported facts , rather than their own interpretation of facts. That’s one of the reasons why so many newspapers are losing readership ~ LIBERAL BIAS . That is why most refer to it as “Lamestream Media”

The TITANIC stuff was like, “Whaa...?” If you lopped those paragraphs off the beginning and end, the thing would be a third shorter.

I skimmed those first couple of paragraphs. I do that for at least 90% of these sorts of articles now. The writers try to link their story to some pop culture object to show how their story, like, connects to the zeitgeist, ya know? I just skim until the second or third paragraph. Then I skim a little slower. By the last paragraph I was like, ‘Yeah, Kate Winslet, whatever, man...”

More info coming to light...
Obama’s strategy requires Romney. Obama cannot win many traditional Democrats rustbelt states, so instead he is relying on heavily playing the race card and anti-Mormon sentiment in the SOUTH. Obama’s team now believes their best path to victory is to maximize the black vote in the south while at the same time suppressing the white Evangelical vote by attacking Mormonism (through surrogates, friendly press etc, never DIRECTLY from 0bama, other than subtle digs.) Obama also needs to stir up his far-left base by attacking Romney as the personification of “corporate greed.” (The OWS scheme was hatched when they were sure Romney would be the nominee.)

If Romney is not the nominee, then Obama’s “Southern Strategy” collapses. This is particularly true if the GOP nominates a candidate from Georgia, like Cain or Gingrich. Cain anywhere on the ticket kills 0bama’s black-vote strategy, which is the reason for the full-court press to try to make Herman appear too toxic to put on the ticket.

If bankrupting a great nation and throwing millions out of work does not disqualify a man for seeking a second term, obviously false allegations of being a cad 15 years ago should not disqualify a man for seeking a first.

When the author said:
Cain said that "there will probably be other" complaints of sexual harassment. If these complaints of sexual harassment are made up out of thin air, how is it that he predicts there will be others?
I realized that the author is just being flat out stupid.

The financial reward motive alone is so great for these accusers, that I myself am considering accusing Cain of corn holing me! And if an honest conservative straight guy is feeling tempted to hop on the gravy train, how much more so must every liberal douche bag out there be face palming themselves that they didn't think of claiming harassment first for the big bucks and instant fame that these earliest accusers are getting.

Is It Too Soon For Obama Nostalgia?
Posted on September 12, 2011 by Thomas Thurlow

~snip~

I can even say good things about Barack Obama. Barack Obama has always had a disarming smile and a pleasant way about him. There, I said it. And who could ever forget that scene of a smiling Obama wearing a cowboy hat while campaigning in Austin? See? Not a peep from my inner-partisan. And the nation’s first black president – even if I didn’t vote for him there was the consolation that a black man is finally president. That was good. And all the fainting at Obama’s campaign rallies in 2008? That was worth watching, even for us conservatives! I just wrote some good things about President Obama and I feel fine!

By its very nature, and analogy is not precise. So using one in an article meant to prove fact will only obscure the clarity of the factual case by tossing in a touch of pop culture romance. It’s as if the writers are saying, “See? Real life is just like the movies.” How childish.

Which doesn’t bother someone trying to show how their article should connect to people who watch reality TV and cheesy romance movies like TITANIC.

Saying “I’m a lawyer and I could tell she was being honest just by looking at her” doesn’t amount to much in my book.

I would think lawyers were a little smarter.

Heck, Ray Charles could have seen through that dog and pony show.
