As with the constitutional struggle that was stirred up by the passage of ObamaCare, the President’s latest pet proposal is brightening the battle lines between friends of federal power and those who advocate the protection of the sovereignty of states. The American Jobs Act contains several key provisions that apparently push the boundary between state and federal power back, expanding Washington’s sphere of authority.

I believe the idiot author of this article meant the 10th Amendment - another shining example of today’s “education”, as brought to you by the Teachers’ Unions.
I posted the Rob Natelson article a month or so ago. It is worth reading.
My initial reaction to the section of the jobs bill that abrogates state’s rights under the 11th amendment was to ask “why?”. Why would the Obama administration want to expand the overreach of the supreme court into internal state affairs? In my limited capacity, I believe this to be obviously related to immigration. The obama administration is trying to become involved in suits brought against a state that will inevitably arise from the strict immigration laws that have been passed in several states.
Nonetheless, constitutional amendments cannot be legislated away. Only additional constitutional amendments can repeal previous amendments, so I doubt that this section in question would hold up in court.
Obama thinks the Constitution should say what the government must do for the people, not just contain restrictions to government power.

The U.S. Constitution means nothing to this joker and the people in his charge. I cannot believe that the Republican-controlled U.S. House sits by while this buffoon runs rampant over the U.S. Constitution. Why do they think we voted in a Republican majority?
