It’s a “works based” belief system - that somehow, being a “good person” will “win” your salvation. It’s a damning belief, but one that many cling to, not willing to believe that they are sinners in the eyes of God with only One Way to salvation.
It’s a common enough fallacy, but not one to which a true Christian is susceptible.
