Agreed. However, Republicans haven’t done themselves any favors by not fighting back and uniting against illegal immigration and try to pass laws preventing illegals from being eligible to receive federal benefits and attending public schools.

How can you lose something that you never had in the first place?
One that sticks with me is a 14 year old Kalamazoo Michigan boy who was walking to his bus stop when he was struck and dragged by an illegal fleeing police in a stolen car.
It didn’t get a lot of media play because it happened within 48 hours of 4 children being killed by an illegal in Minnesota which did make national news.

This is total BS. Besides, I have seen polls where majority of latinos opposes illegal immigration so the idea that latinos are pro-illegal is likely not true.
If large part of majority would think that murdering annoying neigbor is ok, this does not mean that GOP should embrace it. Instead, it means GOP should educate and argue why it is bad.
Likewise for illegal immigration. GOP should explain clearly why it is bad and explain the true cost (financial cost and daily murders and loss of life due to DWIs)

I had heard when he was in the Florida House he did what he could to sidetrack immigration legislation. I thought having won a Senate seat he would try to get more in tune with the rest of the country. I guess he just doesn’t have a “heart” for non-hispanics who favor the rule of law and lower immigration levels.
If guys like this and Ricardo Perry are the future of the Republican Party, it’s toast as far as I’m concerned. They’ll just have to replace my vote with an illegal’s.
After I get rid of the guys currently stealing my TV. Better yet, make sure that the bad guys realize there isn't any way they are going to be getting any TVs or computers from this house, and the door can remain wide open while the bad guys walk out, seeing no loot to steal. I'm all about securing the borders, but saying, "secure the borders first" is D.C. speak for "ignore the folks that are here illegally."
