The UN plan referenced by Newt Gingrich is a real threat to private property and US sovereignty.

Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich stated during a recent campaign event that the United Nations was seeking to create an “extraconstitutional control” over the US with programs like Agenda 21. Gingrich's remarks are featured in a YouTube video. But what is Agenda 21, and why has it taken nearly 20 years before this subject got national recognition?
Agenda 21 seeks to control populations through zoning and seizure of private property, strip national sovereignty, reduce the world population, even control our consumption of meat and air conditioning ... all in the name of the environment. And who can be against the environment, right?
Many Americans cringe at the mention of “global government” or “conspiracy.” And often, conspiracy theories have little basis in fact. But we must recognize that it is a basic element of human nature to seek the acquisition of wealth and power, and that people throughout human history have conspired together to do so. Not all conspiracies are real, but they do exist. And Agenda 21 is a perfect example.

Having researched Agenda 21 for years, I am glad to see that it has moved from tinfoil hat conspiracy territory to legitimate threat. So much so that a top-tier candidate is mentioning it. If only the threat was considered legitimate when it was signed nearly two decades ago.

The Agenda 21 is much further along in this country than people realize. The roadless public lands are a big part of it, along with all the “Gateway” corridors that are being planned around the country.
They call it the Wildlands Program. It’s intended to herd the population into urban centers, leaving vast swathes of rural land, roadless and off limits to human activity. The urban centers will be connected by multi-modal transportation corridors, known as “Gateways”, which will carry both people and cargo through rural areas, limiting the incursions into the rural lands, which are to be returned to their natural state and returned to their rightful owners, the Indians (the only Native Americans).
It seems that about once a month, we are reading that the Obama administration has added more land in some state to the roadless wilderness, but today, we heard that there is a proposal to ban guns from much of the federal land.
Sign me up. We should be following the Millenium Development Goals as well.

The European Union is the model. Create a supreme government that allows individual countries to keep their identities and constitutions, but is the final arbiter in disputes (which nullifies your identity and constitution).
As you see, no nation is allowed to leave the European Union.
The same will happen after a worldwide economic collapse.
The US, EU, Canada, Mexico, etc will all end up under a single government that allows each to retain their identity. It allows the US to keep its Constitution, but that is only to prevent an immediate revolution.
In return, our debts are erased, our economy is combined with others (we are told the lie that this is like uniting the 50 states), our military is combined with others, reducing our share of the burden and our future is secure.

What's truly tragic about the plan is that when they have achieved their "goals" they won't have enough of the people left who know how to care for the planet. These idiots think "Nature takes care of itself," all the mounting evidence to the contrary. Nobody I know who does any kind of stewardship work believes it. Nature doesn't know or care what it becomes. It is not a self-optimizing system.
