Village Voice ^ | 11/17/11 | Steven Thrasher

Today is November 17, the two month anniversary since Occupy Wall Street began. Protestors have declared today to be an International Day of Action, calling for people to "occupy their block," to "shut down Wall Street" starting at 7:00 AM, and to "occupy the subway" starting at 3:00 PM. We have been hearing that protestors, and the NYPD, will be amassing all over the city today, and will be live blogging dispatches from our own Village Voice staff writers Rosie Gray (@_rosiegray) and Nick Pinto (@macfathom), as well as photographer C.S. Muncy (@CSMuncyPhoto), who are on the scene through out lower Manhattan.

5:15 AM: From the anchor desk here in downtown Brooklyn, we hear a helicopter that sounds like it is heading towards Manhattan. Nick sends two pictures: this one appears to be on an NYPD roll call, just north of the Wall Street bull:

This is community organizing on a national scale. POTUS BO is doing what he knows best.

He's a DESTROYER not a CREATOR.

Well, we should all be so thankful that some millions of that stimulus are finally making the way back into the economy as the community agitators pay the protesters to keep up their attacks on capitalism, right?

“This is community organizing on a national scale.”

That message on the Verizon building was downright scary. My jaw dropped.

Toldyou #326: “That message on the Verizon building was downright scary. My jaw dropped.”

The media is fanning this because they know that riots in the streets leads to higher ratings. Leftists are in favor of this..because they love chaos and hate the contented middle class. POTUS BO is in favor of this...because this is what he does! COMMUNITY ORGANIZING on a PRESIDENTIAL scale.

But everyone on Main Street and Wall Street can now see the “writing on the wall.” And the backlash is coming.

Snot nose whiny self consumed do nothing no nothing wannabes are going to get spanked and placed in detention. And BO is going to be landslided into oblivion at the polls. This crap will not win out!

At least the ‘60s had great music.

***********************************************************

Up until about Feb of 1964 it was great. Then the Beatles hit America and the golden age of R&R was done.

What was great about the 50’s was the mix of the “new” R&R and the great pop singers like Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Sinatra, Bennett etc. After 1964 it all began to sound the same to me.

As I posted earlier, the bureaucracies are made up of Dems. They are happy to faciliate whatever is needed for the leftist protestors. Many are not in elected positions, they “serve” for life. They are there even when Republicans are in office. Happy to sabotage if they can.

You want a day of action. Go home. Take a bath. Check on your family. Clean your house. Pick up your yard. Make a list of your basic needs. Create a plan to take care of your basic needs and those of your loved ones.

The most moral, virtuous, generous, responsible, egalitarian thing a person can do is to provide for the basic needs of you and your family.

That way you do not transfer your liabilities to the society in general. And at some point, God Willing, you might produce more than you consume...and actually become an asset to those around you.

Now that's ACTION!
