NEW YORK (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain says "all of these women are lying" about unwanted sexual advances.

In appearance on David Letterman's "Late Show" airing Friday night, the former pizza executive is again denying any impropriety during his time running the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s.

I do see what they’re doing.

And as for the Left’s attacks on him, you develop a thick skin running for President.

If you can’t take that kind of pressure, you’re not ready for the toughest job in the world.

Cain’s main problem is that he doesn’t come across as an ideas guy. He has other strengths but being quick on his feet with a informed answer isn’t one of them.

What’s the problem?

Ronald Reagan on Sonny & Cher:

G.W. Bush on Letterman in 2000:

Now, how exactly is a dog & pony show going to affect your vote?

Do Herman Cain’s moral values parallel your own? Does he love and obey God? Do you have confidence in him to fix the economy?

If you said yes to all three of those, then don’t sweat the small stuff.

Cheers

I offered my apology. I won’t speak ill of a fellow conservative, without good reason.

Sorry, I was stating an opinion regarding substance of a candidate for the presidency. I have been in Cain’s corner since his beginning. I think for him to go and be confronted by a low life idiot is a mistake.

He didn’t call me but he should have.

'All of these women are lying'

"All"? "All"? That makes it sound like a lot of women, not two women with an agenda and two anonymous women with unspecified complaints. Couldn't he just have said "a handful of women? Or would that have been taken as a comment on breast size, just as his gesture may have referred to their height? Once this conversation gets going, there is no safe path . . . which is why the far left attacked Cain this way.

I have no problems with his values. People’s concern is he doesn’t articulate them clearly enough. Ronald Reagan was a natural at that kind of stuff.

The media and the Left took to calling The Gipper a “Teflon-coated” politician because none of their attacks seemed to stick to him or make any difference in his popularity.

And we didn’t have the blogs, alternative media and Free Republic around in those days.

I am with you on all three but this is 2011, not past history.

As we speak I am listening to Mark Levin. I know what he would say.

He’s better than Letterman and I’m sure the audience saw it. I’d advise to go on shows like this. It plays to his real strength of being warm and accessible. He doesn’t do well in a formal setting.

I guess the question we have to ask ourselves, is do we want an ideas man as president?

Or do we want someone that we can go to bed each night knowing that we are in good hands?

I want the man who I know is going to be there for me, working for every day for four years. I don’t want to be worrying about whether he’s going to cross the idea, or get some absolute brilliant, but boneheaded idea and stick to it.

I say this as an ideas man myself. Harsh but true. You want someone who can delegate, someone who knows where he stands on the issues.

Cain needs all the exposure he can get. The more outsiders see him the better he looks. Its free exposure and he is strong enough and has the moxie to stand toe to to with Letterman. Its a good move to see him relaxed and funny. Cain will come accross human and it will be good long term for him.

Most of America is not watching Fox news and will not even know Herman exists. Let him hit the circut.

" I’m shocked anyone believes anything."

Me to! If Brian Williams announced the sun would rise in the east tomorrow morning, I'd be up at the crack of dawn with a compass just to make sure.

Cain did well on Jimmy Kimmel’s show. Letterman’s a little more creepy to conservatives so I’m looking forward to seeing how Cain does with him.

By the way, I didn’t say I oppose Cain and others going on shows ‘like’ this. I don’t have any problem with that. But I do single out Letterman (and Maher) as being worthless, sub-human filth, whom conservatives should totally shun at all costs.

Ages ago, I actually used to like Letterman. Back during his NBC years. Watched him almost every night. My sister even got me one of those “Top Ten” books of his as a birthday present. Letterman got pretty unwatchable after the switch to CBS, and his bitter lefty side took over. But it was that ‘rape’ joke he directed towards Palin’s 13-year-old daughter, and the following insincere, sarcastic ‘faux’ apology he made, that finally did it for me. I’ve never wanted to personally reach through the tv-screen and throttle someone so much. The guy is just pure garbage, and I can’t wait for the day I read his name in the obiturary.

I think that Mr. Cain can make up his own mind about whether or not to do Letterman or The View or any of the other unsafe venues.
