For those of us unfamiliar with halal, the Butterball website has a helpful definition,

Halal – an Arabic word which means “lawful” or “allowed.” The opposite of halal is haram, which means “unlawful” or “prohibited”. Halal foods are foods that are permitted for consumption by Muslims under Islamic law. All foods are considered halal except the following, which are haram: swine/pork and its by-products; animals improperly slaughtered or dead before slaughtering; animals killed in the name of anyone other than Allah (God); alcohol and intoxicants; carnivorous animals, birds of prey and animals without external ears; blood and blood by-products; foods contaminated with any of the above products. Foods containing ingredients such as gelatin, enzymes, emulsifiers, etc. are questionable (mashbooh) because of the origin of these ingredients is not known.

Oh, they’d have to be if they expect to sell them in Turkey.

But it isn’t certified kosher!!!!

And kosher is way more stringent than halal!

Think of halal as ‘wannabe kosher’ but never will be.

Two of America's most important agricultural products are TURKEY and CHICKEN.

We can drop either animal as a frozen block in any nation on Earth, even Congo, and sell it for less than a fresh local bird!

It's meat you can trust.

A little sausage stuffing will fix that

Sorry, but this Libtard ad got to me, so this season we're going to lay off the turkey and go with a different halal meat.

Whoop-de-frickin'-doo. I haven't bought a Butterball product in years. Haven't been satisfied with the last few I've purchased. Now, Jeannie-O, on the other hand, makes GREAT turkey stuff.

I just ordered a Tur-Duc-Hen a chicken in a duck in a turkey with stuffing. One had a sausage stuffing but I wonder if the rest would be kosher?

I do not see a problem wit this. Thanksgiving is a true American Holiday. Turkeys are the key main dish and Americans of Muslim faith should be expected to partake in this common American tradition. Religious Muslims are interested in following their dietary traditions, like religious Jews and other traditional religions.

The fact that the company goes to the trouble to become Kosher or Halal is not a negative at all.

See, I’m sure that more than one turkey I’ve eaten has been mashbooh as they are improperly killed with three to five pellets to the head, are dead before they are slaughtered and a prayer of intercession is made to Jesus just before they die. I figure if he can turn water into wine before it is time, he can make sure my aim is true.

I don’t understand what you are so upset about. It just means that Muslims can eat it. Until the other day, I thought that Kosher meant that the Rabbis prayed over the food. A friend of mine said Kosher just means meat. lol. All these years I didn’t eat Kosher because I thought it was prayed on by Rabbis and could not eat another religions food with their prayers. Man I do feel silly but I believe it is the same with Halal. It just means that Muslims can eat it. It does NOT mean that an Iman is praying over the food because TRUST ME when I say, if that was the case, I would not eat it.

Do you really want your turkey slaughtered in the name of Allah before it is eaten?

Koran 006.121
YUSUFALI: Eat not of (meats) on which Allah’s name hath not been pronounced: That would be impiety. But the evil ones ever inspire their friends to contend with you if ye were to obey them, ye would indeed be Pagans.
PICKTHAL: And eat not of that whereon Allah’s name hath not been mentioned, for lo! it is abomination. Lo! the devils do inspire their minions to dispute with you. But if ye obey them, ye will be in truth idolaters.
SHAKIR: And do not eat of that on which Allah’s name has not been mentioned, and that is most surely a transgression; and most surely the Shaitans suggest to their friends that they should contend with you; and if you obey them, you shall most surely be polytheists.

But with Halal the animal is slaughtered in the name of Allah. With Kosher their is no prayer said over the animal.

So, lets put one over on them!

“not what goes into the mouth defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” Mathew 15:11

“Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man from outside cannot defile him, since it enters, not his heart but his stomach, and so passes on?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.) And he said, “What comes out of a man is what defiles a man. Mark 7:17-20

If you already purchased one, Say a blessing over it in the name of Our Lord Jesus (who conquers All), cook and then eat it.
