No not all are slaughtered in the same way. Most people who kill animals kill the animal before they drain it. In Islam the cutting of the throat is the act of killing. The former is practical. The latter is according to Muslim law.
All turkey processing plants hang the birds upside down by their feet and then cut the head off.
I don’t want a Turkey killed in the name of Allah.

Kosher does not “just mean meat”. Though it is not prayed over, it is slaughtered in a particular way. It is also de-feathered differently (and not very well). It is soaked to remove the blood and acts much like brining. I have a kosher kitchen and therefore purchase only kosher products. One of the problems with halal is that it requires giving a particular % of profits to (Islamic) charity, it is done in Allah’s name, AND shar’iah law is immoral.
This is disturbing. I believe Islamic charities are fronts for terrorist organizations.

You bring up a good point. Maybe we could say a prayer of thanks for all turkeys killed for this Thanksgiving thus invalidating all other prayers. (Just kidding. I wouldn’t say a prayer in jest.)
