In an interview with 910-AM in Phoenix, Plummer said that he thinks highly of the way Tebow is winning games in Denver, but he wishes Tebow would cool it on turning post-game interviews into an opportunity to proselytize.
I wish hed just shut up after a game and go hug his teammates, Plummer said, via SportsRadioInterviews.com. I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ then I think Ill like him a little better. I dont hate him because of that, I just would rather not have to hear that every time he takes a good snap or makes a good handoff.

Basically, they should leave the kid alone.
If that’s what he has to say, then it’s a free country.

Is he telling people they need to become Christians? If so then he needs to cool it.
To: xzins
Neither Plummer nor anyone else has any right to tell Tim Tebow what it means to be a Christian. If Tim Tebow feels that the Holy Spirit calls on him to express his love for Jesus Christ in post-game interviews then who is to say otherwise? If the networks don’t want to interview Tim Tebow then they won’t. If they choose to interview Tim Tebow then it is Tim Tebow they get. Plummer can go get stuffed.

My guess is that most Freepers will be on Tebow’s side on this one. One might only guess how they might react if (when?) a player starts giving thanks and praise to Allah.

Deal with it, Jake. It's like the faith of Eric Liddell, the “Flying Scotsman” (Chariots of Fire); it is what fuels his competitive drive. Separate the man from the faith and you would put out his fire.

pgyanke to Tebow: Be Yourself. You’re a Winner and Role Model for Christian Men.
pgyanke to Plummer: Mind your own damn business. Who was the last player you criticized before Tebow? Was it Vick or any number of bad role models? Then shut your pumpkin pie hole and eat some turkey.

We (as followers of the Christ) are told to be His witnesses. By “cooling it”, Tebow would be disobedient to his God.

This is true but no one wants religion pushed in their face. It’s a football game. There is a time and a place for it,but not during an interview after a game.
To: xzins
Jake Plummer is the one who should ‘just shut up’. What Tebow is doing can help transform this nation. God bless, you Tim!
To: Paradox
I imagine we would say it’s his business. You have reason to suggest otherwise?

Glad to hear a sex offender weighing in on this question. Stay classy, Plummer.

Well, considering allah/mohmmad advocate the murder and rape of innocents, I would hope most Freepers would be upset.

Is he telling people they need to become Christians? If so then he needs to cool it. There's a name for people who tell others that they need to become Christians.
Such people are called "Christians".

He may be a “witness” to G-d but he does need to lay off because people don’t want his faith pushed in their face. What if I,as a Jew,went around and started “preaching”? It would be annoying, would it not?

It works both ways but the left are not happy when they can not make and/or break the rules at their at their leisure.

Hey, Plummer! Think maybe the Jews told Paul to shut up and just make tents? Probably but how did that work out for the Jews?
