I applaud Tim Tebow on his public disPlay of his faith but find it mini
Ilized when praising God after scoring a touchdown. IMHO God doesn’t give two hoots if you make a great play. God cares that you appreciate his sacrifice to humanity on behalf of Jesus Christ.
Jets defensive back Antonio Cromartie was asked about Tebow on Monday. Aside from the glaring statistics Tebow was 2-for-8 last week against the Kansas City Chiefs there was one thing that stuck out.
“The biggest thing that stands out to me is a guy that’s outspoken about his Christianity,” Antonio Cromartie said. “Actually, I think we need more men to be like that in this world. I think the world would be a whole lot bette
Listen to the interview. Plummer trashes multiple people over various things including emphasizing the chip on his shoulder over the way he left the Broncos. It’s a typical sports radio jock call-in. Plummer shows his lack of class and then underscores it.
You are creating straw men here. Neither Tim Tebow nor anyone on this thread has said anything about burning in hell.
As for the need to become a Christian, what I say is not so important. However, according to Scripture (John 14:6) Christ said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
This is either true or else it isn't, but according to Scripture it is the Word of the Lord.
Spare us the attempt at equivalency. Go out in the streets and on TV and shout the praises of the Flying Spaghetti Monster if you want to. That doesn’t make it real. Nor would it make Allah real. Christ is real, Tebow knows it, and it’s driving people crazy b/c they don’t want to hear it.
Such professions of faith may be monotonous to some, but to others they may be inspiring. And most importantly, the one who finds them meaningless and monotonous may one day hear with fresh ears and have his life transformed.
If Tim Tebow believes that his Christian mission includes thanking and praising his living Lord and Savior Jesus Christ during post-game interviews then whosoever tells Tim Tebow to do otherwise is telling Tim Tebow how to be a Christian.
I'm sure this was the apostle Paul's experience too, eh?
Yeah, how DARE he live out his faith? Telling people how to live is a bad thing, isn't it?
You know what else is monotonous? The people who whine and moan and pitch fits about people who are open about their faith.
“Is he telling people they need to become Christians? If so then he needs to cool it.”

Or, the superior alternative, if it bothers you SO much, is to just simply ignore him.
Great comment! I was thinking that it did not initially work out too well for Sosthenes.
We find out later in I Cor. 1:1--Sosthenes saw the light.
But then he wouldn't have the fun of telling us all about how so very offended he is by it.
Plummer? Tebow? I have no idea who these people are.
I do know one thing. If the one guy wants to talk about anything it is not the other guys business. That goes both ways too.
The problem comes in with the repetitiveness. It’s not the topic most of the time it’s that it seems to be the only thing he can ever talk about. A lot of Christians tend to be very mono-focal about their faith, which is great for them but doesn’t make them the best conversationalists in the world. I’ve got a work friend that can’t put two sentences together without mentioning either her current boyfriend or most recent X, sometimes both in a comparison and contrast. Talking to her gets dull fast for the same reason Tebow gets dull. Pointing out that Tebow gets dull isn’t telling him how to be a Christian, it’s pointing out that he gets dull.
The time and place is ALL times and any place.
If you are ashamed of His name, He’ll be ashamed of you.
Beautiful verse. Thank you.

I thought Paul told James to shut-up.
But this non-Christian thinks Tebow can talk of his faith in Jesus all he wants.
¨Lay on Macduff. And damned be he who cries hold, enough.¨
You know what else is monotonous? People that think any criticism laid at a guy of faith is automatically an attack on his faith. Really, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and sometimes pointing out that a guy is boring because he says the same thing over and over is just about his repetitiveness, not what he’s repetitive about.
If that’s who he is then where’s the problem you mentioned?
He gets interviewed, he is who he is, and says what he says...and what, he should change because someone is bored???
EVERYONE needs the Savior. They do not want to be told of burning in hell because it offends them. Of course it is REALLY going to be offensive when they ARE burning in hell, wondering why more people didn;t tell them of Jesus.
I do pray for you FRiend.
