This is what I got... Is this how these normally come out?

When it comes to the holidays, you are tragically twisted. You do things a bit differently, to say the least, and you've established your own warped traditions.

You see the holidays as a time to thin out the pets/animals at home. It's good to give them time to reflect and regroup.

You like the aspects of the holiday that remind you of your childhood – all that time spent locked in the closet, mom’s drunken rages, dad’s drunken rages, those hilarious knife fights, your little sister’s drunken rages...

During the holidays, you are likely to feel somewhat suicidal. At your worst, you feel homicidal.

You consider yourself a “loner”, and you're proud of it. The neighbors say you “seem like a nice person”.

You tend to spend your holidays completely alone; really getting into the holiday spirits.

What Your Thanksgiving Meal
Says About You
When it comes to the holidays, you follow and love the big traditions. You look forward to them every year....if someone else cooks!!

You see the holidays as a time to be close to loved ones. It's a good time to reconnect and make memories. However, my loved ones are so far away......

You like the aspects of the holiday that remind you of your childhood - old favorite foods.

During the holidays, you are unlikely to feel energetic. At your worst, you feel bored. Wrong...I rest because I have to face Black Friday from BEHIND the counter. LOL!

You consider yourself to be a bit of a purist, and you're proud of it.

You tend to spend your holidays relaxing. Holidays are your down time. (In other words...no cooking for me! :)

Unlike most clueless leftists, my early thoughts of Thanksgiving are eating my mother’s wonderful, delicious turkey, stuffing and yams.

And my Uncle Leo who entranced me with his stories of World War II, hopping the Marianas Islands in the Pacific.

A leftist will never understand that, at his peril.

Hello, Kathy in Alaska. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Doin' okay. SSG Dusty is still stationed at Ft. Riley, nursing a head wound, but he and his family are coming to Nebr. for Thanksgiving.

I also have tickets for him and I to attend the Iowa vs. Nebraska football game Friday.

Should be fun!

Hope you and all your family have a great holiday!

He is eating and wants to play so cannot justify a vet visit.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, We went to town today they didn't plow since it was Tuesday, it was a nightmare on the way home, 30 minutes out of town. It was pure slush. Fredd in town while we were in the store shopping kept setting off the truck alarm. The whole store would laugh each time it went off. Folks were going outside to see him. It was funny to hear EVERYONE in the grocery store laugh each time the alarm went off.

The World Of More
November 23, 2011

My cable company sent a postcard inviting me to check out its latest improvements in TV channels. The card indicated that I needed to contact the company to get the necessary new digital equipment and explained how to hook it up and activate it. After that, the ad said I was just to “sit back and enjoy the World of More.”

The card made me think of the “World of More” that Christians are privileged to live in. When God transports people from the darkness of sin “into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9), a whole new life opens up.

Romans 5 tells us some of the more that we have in Christ: We have been “reconciled to God through the death of His Son” (v.10) and therefore have “peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (v.1). We have access to God and His grace (v.2). Rejoicing in trouble is now possible because we understand that it’s an opportunity to grow in our character through trusting Him (vv.3-4). Additionally, the Holy Spirit, who has been given to live in us, pours the love of God into our hearts (v.5). And sin no longer has the same hold on us (6:18).

As Christians, we have unlimited access to a real “World of More.” Wouldn’t it be selfish not to invite others to join us in that special world?

The world seeks fulfillment in
The pleasures they adore;
But those who follow Jesus Christ
Are given so much more. —Sper

Belonging to God brings boundless blessings.

Read: Romans 5:1-11

Eye has not seen . . . the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. —1 Corinthians 2:9
