Lets say that Mitt Romney gets the nomination for the GOP, he runs for president in 2012. Romney kind of has this reputation of being a check pants republican, country club republican, a main stream republican, not really a tea party candidate. So do you for see a situation in 2012 where tea party voters actually stay out of the election because they are not motivated by Mitt Romney.
Well it would be tragic if they stayed out because Mitt Romney may not be their first choice, but Mitt Romney every day of the week and twice on Sunday is going to be a much more effective president for issues that they care about than Barack Obama and I think sometimes there is this anxiety within the Republican Party of who is the perfect candidate. The answer is there isnt one. And so what you find is you have to decide who can survive the process and whoever that is, and if it is Mitt Romney, then I think republicans, conservatives and tea party need to get behind him and say he may not be our first choice but between you and 0bama, I'll vote 40 times to help get you elected.
Count me out. Darn right he’s not one of my favorites. Never for the Mountain Meadow Massacre.
I don’t agree with Huckabee and will not vote for Romney if he gets the nomination.
That being said, to say he the tea party should vote for whoever gets the GOP nomination even if its Mitt is not that scandalous.
Ain’t going to happen Huck, we brought into that with Bush, then you tried McCain and now Romney. Sorry pal no more RINOs!!!
Nope. Stick with your variety show, Huck.
If Romney gets the nomination, who will you vote for in the general election?
That is the funniest and most ludicrous thing I have ever heard.
Yes it is scandalous.
The TEA Party is not a “Republican” thing. It does not support whoever the nominee is unless they agree with that nominee, at least on the basics, and Romney is NOT that guy
If Romney gets the nomination I will not be voting for President in the GE but will still vote in the down-ballot races.
No, it will not matter who his VP pick is, just like it did not matter who McCain picked I didn’t vote for THAT liberal sack of s**t either.
I will NOT be forced to play the “at least he’s not as bad as the other liberal” game.
FUMH!! FUMR!! NO WAY, JOSE!!
Huck’s getting nuttier in his old age.
Wasn’t that sometime in the 1850s? What does it have to do w/ Romney?
I feel a lot like a sheep. Just now I’m being herded, later on I’ll be shorn.
He was a loser last time. He is a loser this time.
Trolling for Romney on this pro-life grassroots conservative site will get your account zotted. NO ROMNEY!! NOT ON MY WATCH!!
I don’t see Romney getting the nomination no matter how badly the MSM wants it.
Huckabee doesn’t have a clue about what the Tea Party is all about or what it stands for.
Like all the establishment types, RINOs and pundits, he thinks Tea Partyers are just the low caste red-neck part of the Republican Party. That they will vote for the Republican guy because they have no where to go.
He doesn’t realize that the first victims of the Tea Party were Republicans - the RINO guys in Delaware, Nevada, Utah - because they wandered away from conservative principles.
Romney’s 4 year old burnt toast.
Huck has sold his soul to FoxNews apparently.
Are you kidding? Obamacare used Romneycare are the pattern.
Romney leans too far into socialism for my likes.
They might just as well renominate McCain.
Step right up folks. we have two perfect candidates for you. you can vote for this progressive, Romney. or you can vote for this progressive, Obama. Either one of them will work as fast as possible to push this nation over a cliff into abject misery so that they can deliver us into serfdom in their communist/socialist utopia. Isn’t that so special!
Those of us in the cheap seats who vote will guarantee it. The political consultants probably don't believe this.
The nation will not survive with a Democrat;
It will not survive with a limp-wristed RINO, open borders, anti-American like Romney or Huntsman or Perry;
It will not survive with a socialist "conservative" like Huckabee or Santorum.
It will not survive with a space alien surrender monkey like Ron Paul.
Cain would be my first choice, followed by Newt, followed by Bachmann.

Huck has deluded himself into believing that he has some political clout and that he can influence people in who to vote for..........WRONG!
I can't imagine why or how he could or would sway anyone's opinion. Then again, I'm regularly amazed at what people believe.
Im not trolling for Romney and will never vote for him because I don’t believe that he is pro life.
Huckabee did not endorse Romney. Huckabee may not be perfect but he was so much better than Romney or McCain last time around and I think he got unfairly trashed on FR.
By the way, I was against Romney before FR was.
With a title like that, you need to add at least a Barf Alert or an FUMH.
Not running was one of the best decisions Huckabee ever made.
What seems confusing is that Huck and Romney didn’t get along in ‘08. In fact, it was reported that the two really didn’t like each other at all. So why would Huck now be supporting Mittens?
You have to feel bad for the daughter and the dog. With all the other gluttons in that picture, they were lucky to get a scrap or two to fight over.
I think the expression is “Huck Few”.
Sorry Huck, the T-Party doesn’t support liberals.
I do not trust Mike Huckabee. He has been described as a “Christian Socialist”.
Alarm bells go off at the sound of that.
Well put! NO RINOS!
Oh come on everybody ole huck still has to pay for the mack mansion down in florida so he’s gotta keep the gig going at fox for a couple more years.Fox is all behind romney and huck got his marching orders plain and simple.WHORE
He isn't. The question was wether the tea party should vote for Mitt if he got the nomination.
Huckabee kept Romney from getting the nomination last time, and hopefully he does his part this time and endorses the 'anybody but Romney' candidate at some point.
How about we try nominating a conservative this time around? That way we won’t have to proceed over the cliff, but only half as fast as when the Marxist was in charge.
With the socialist Romney, we’ll still go over the cliff, to be sure, we’ll just obey the speed limit.
Would it freaking kill the party to actually hire a conservative? Last time we did that was 1980. Think we could do it again, just for a few years, just so we can set things right enough for the next pack of ‘centrists’ to come in and put us back on the freaking brink again.
It positively makes you want to go out and hunt the GOP talking heads with a predator drone.
One more rant, only this time I’m laying down
THE CONSERVATIVE DOCTRINE
It reads as follows:
If the GOP will not allow the people to choose between a liberal and a true conservative, then it is ESSENTIAL that the liberal win the election. When the country is destroyed, then what will replace it will of necessity be conservative, for the depression and the jeopardy of our families will have only liberals as an author.
It only took three years, but nobody out there is still credibly saying the current depression and Iran getting the bomb is Bush’s fault.
If we can’t get a conservative, then I see it as a duty to ensure the liberal wins the election in a landslide.
No more ‘pink is better than red’ any more. Hire a conservative or start over, only this time send the parasites on all the coasts packing. We can ship everything we need to sustain export out of Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.
NEVER! Romney is as bad as Zero!
If Romney is the nominee, the M.M.M. will be rehashed by the media as well as all the other really weird stuff of the mormons.
He is a preacher, which means he always has his hand in someone else’s pocket; pretty much like a socialist.
And Huck thinks the Tea Party is a possible endorsement? Even he doesn't get it. The Tea Party will NEVER endorse. There is only one ENDORSEMENT ACTION ... and that is the vote in the voting booth, (or in this case the possible LACK of it!).
