Cain Surges to Retake National Lead
email from Herman Cain Campaign | November 26, 2011 | Herman Cain

Edited on 11/26/2011 10:02:42 AM PST by Admin Moderator. [history]

Dear Patriots and Supporters,

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving together on Thursday. After spending so much time on the road recently, I was thankful for the time to spend with my wife, children, grandchildren and friends.

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving as well.

I am excited to share a recent Rasmussen (conducted November 21-22) which shows me retaking the lead nationally with 26 percent support. I am leading Governor Romney and Speaker Gingrich by 3 and 12 percent respectively.

The American people want a true conservative in the White House. They are tired of career politicians who are more concerned with getting reelected than fixing the problems that are plaguing our economy.

I have the solutions, and the American people are lining up to show their support.

[mod edit to remove campaign contribution solicitation]

I pray you and your family enjoyed a great Thanksgiving yesterday. We Americans have so much to be thankful for.

Thank you and God bless.

Sincerely,

Herman Cain

PS- We will be releasing an exciting new video series this Monday. I will be previewing the video this Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union. Be sure to check your local listings

Here is a link to recent Rasmussen polls.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/older_content/home/top_stories/most_recent_articles

You won’t find anything like what Cain is reporting for Nov 21-23.

But, look at Nov 3:

“National Poll: Cain 26%, Romney 23%, Gingrich 14%”

That equals Cain 26%....Romney 3% behind and Gingrich 12% behind. Just like the email says.

You have a funny, quirky sense of humor when faced with your own candidate’s sure loss.

I like that. You’ve got spunk.

Did you perhaps, mention who your candidate is yet? Truth in advertising and all...

To the best of my knowledge, Rasmussen does polls which aren’t immediately put on the web.

There’s the daily tracking polls, which are basic and regular. However Rasmussen is a business. The most detailed polls are not immediately given away free.

The email text referenced, seems say polling was done this week.

I’m prepared to believe Cain is surging. He stopped the leftwing smears in their tracks, once liberals Cain is a Republican who fights back.

I think Cains leading. And I think he’s going to win.

Both elections. Primary, and the White House.

I especially hope, he convinces Palin to run on his ticket.

This time around, she’ll be VP.

Without all the Alinky mudslinging which goes with the Presidency.

Continue to delude yourself - if that’s the kind of thing that you get off on. The facts remain...

As far as candidates are concerned - my view of the whole lot is and has been that they are all a huge “crap sandwich.”

My view - is that at the end of the day, this is going to be a contest between Romney and a Not-Romney candidate. Currently, the last best chance of a viable Not-Romney appears to be Newt. If Newt falters, then most likely it will be Romney. The other candidates are most likely not going to be resurrected. That’s my view...

Gingrich as vP.? That would be inviting the fox into the henhouse! He is the establishment which has brought America down. Why would we ant him anywhere near the president? I used to think maybe Chief of Staffl but I have definitely changed my mind. Newt belongs in his think tank. Let’s leave him there!

Ok, to clarify, the PAC poll was conducted on Nov. 21. I don’t know when the other poll was conducted.

Herman Cain does not stoop to lies. Liars never prosper! The likes of the Left do that in spades, and only the great unwashed masses buy them.

To the best of my knowledge, Rasmussen does polls which aren’t immediately put on the web.

First, you really need to go back and read the link in post #7.

Secondly, you should visit Real Clear Politics and check out the President Obama vs. Republican Candidates Polling. There you will find the actual Rasmussen poll that was conducted on 11/21 - 11/22.

So no, this is not a matter of a delayed release of a Rasmussen poll. If a Rasmussen national GOP primary poll - conducted 11/21-11/22 - actually existed, it would already be up at RCP.

You are missing the point I’m making. I don’t care if it’s posted or not. If one poster gets fussed at by the mods for posting a linked and sourced press release as not being news then unsourced emails asking for money should also be admonished.

If a campaign email asking for funds is newsworthy then a press release from a candidate laying out the reasons why he disagrees with something 0bama does is also newsworthy. If the mods say it’s not then move it to chat or bloggers.

That's the point. There isn't really free speech if the mods are not fair in how they moderate posts.

By that thinking donating to any candidate would be a waste of money because no one knows who the winner will be and there can only be one. Besides it’s NOT your money so why should you give a flying rip? And what is the point of coming on this thread to make a comment like that? In what way does it advance the conversation? How is it relevant to the topic which is about a poll, NOT who sends money to what candidate. One of the reasons the caliber of conversation has disintegrated around here is because people go on threads in which the don’t have a legitimate interest and make some smug comment. You might give that some thought next time.

It’s truly amazing that you come on to nearly every thread of a candidate you believe has no way of winning and denigrate those who do support him. If he can’t win why bother? It’s truly a waste of everyone’s time and adds nothing to advance any conversation. It’s truly disheartening that the level of conversation has disintegrated as much as it has and it’s completely unnecessary.

Denigrate? How? By pointing out the facts? Would it be better to let folks build false hopes on misinformation? Personally, I'm all for getting excited, but I would rather that excitement be based on something real.

If it turns out to be false so be it. Look at your posting history on Cain threads. It hardly matters what the subject is, if it’s about Cain you post negative, often snarky posts. The fact is you ARE condescending. Look at your tone. And to my knowledge Cain isn’t the only candidate who could possibly win the nomination so there are plenty of people building up “false hope”. If you look at people’s response you aren’t turning on any light bulbs. Why don’t you just save it. Maybe you can come gloat if your prediction comes true. It wouldn’t be such a big deal if you weren’t constantly going on Cain threads and doing crap like this. It’s become a pattern.
