Newest Cain Accuser Has History of Financial Trouble
ABC NEWS ^ | 11-28-11 | Ross

Like one of his earlier accusers, the latest woman to accuse Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual misconduct has a history of financial trouble, with a threat of eviction for non-payment of rent just two weeks ago.

Ginger White, who claimed in an interview with Atlanta Fox News affiliate WAGA to have had a 13-year-affair with Cain, has liens and civil judgments in Kentucky and Georgia dating back to 1994.

Eleven of those liens have been filed since 2009, with nine in 2011. The owners of her apartment complex in Dunwoody, Georgia have sued her for non-payment of rent nearly every month since the beginning of the year.

White, a 46-year-old unemployed single mother who is at least twice divorced, was described by WAGA as an Atlanta-area businesswoman. While living in Louisville, Kentucky, she worked at Recruitment Plus, LLC. According to WAGA, she filed a sex harassment claim against an employer ten years ago, and the case was settled. The station also found a bankruptcy filing from the late 1980s.

In January, there is a scheduled court date in an unrelated civil suit filed against her by a former business partner, Kimberly Vay, who alleges that White stalked and harassed her and had sought a protective order. A judge has entered a default judgment in Vay's favor. [snip]

The fact that she's having financial difficulties doesn't make her a liar. However, I watched Mr. Cain with Blizzer, and Mr. Cain said specifically and affirmatively that there was no sex, and no affair. The question then is why are some conservatives on the board, assuming the truth of the allegations?

He has the right to the presumption of innocence, no?

That’s a heap of financial trouble. Interesting that ABC is reporting it all.

I think he is innocent. However, we are dealing with an electability issue. I don’t think he’s electable.

Unfortunately, we’ve been given the short stick. If we end up with Romney, it will be a choice between a GOP liberal and a Dem liberal. How do you handle that?

“But Cain’s campaign is standing firm by the idea that this is manufactured - his Iowa chairman, Steve Grubbs, tweeted out that White is a “shocking, defaming libeler.”

Why would she have access to Cain’s cell number and why did they maintain such a long friendship IF she was or is such a low life? Cain needs to surround himself with better people both privately and publicly. IF some conversations or other evidence is shown in regards to the alleged affair..Cain is toast and finished in politics forever.

I respect your view- but I honestly think, given this election cycle, he’s the most electable. He just needs Newt as backup.

So when the mainstream media decides which false accusers get to be in the news, don’t they first send out a team of professionals to look into it?

You’d think they would, just to eliminate the ones with a long history of bankruptcies, making accusations, and trying to cash in on settlements.

High-risk strategy for the Dems to try and destroy Herman this early. In Cain survives all this and ends up on top, he will be unbeatable.

Katie, I read your posts often on Cain threads- and I respect the fact that he’s not your choice. That’s fine. But respectfully, you’re engaging in conjecture. She said there was sex..he says no. Ok. Now, let’s wait for the evidence.

His campaign has done great damage to the GOP brand and has distracted this whole election process away from Obama and Romney. Very sad.

You’re so right. (Uh, you think maybe the Cain folks were engaging in counter-tactics here— maybe she’s a setup.) -:)

All I saw that she had for evidence was text messages and Cains phone number. Her background is pretty shaky as well as has been reported in the other posts. At this point I have to believe Herman.

I did not see where he said such a thing. He said no, there was no affair just friendship. That is a far cry from denying physical relationship. It may simply be him playing the word “affair”.

Oh yeah? Like what?

The financial support part? Here is Cain explaining why this woman had his phone number:

We texted the number and Herman Cain called us back. He told us he "knew Ginger White" but said these are "more false allegations." He said she had his number because he was "trying to help her financially.”

On CNN Cain admitted he was friends with the woman for about the time frame she said - which was 13 years.

On CNN Cain said his wife never met her.

So what claims did I make that weren't true. ALL of these claims are all over the media. I've seen them in news reports and on CNN just tonight. Are you just not watching the news?

Because they’re not Conservatives.

Oh BS.

Shame on you calling that woman low life! Has she broken any laws that you know of? How would you like it if I call you a low life even though you have not broken any laws? All we know is the woman is a financial basket case. Similar to that Bialek woman. That is not a low life, just a financial basket case. I see nothing wrong in having her as a friend.

My question is why did these women wait X number of years to pop up now? Bialek pops up when Cain’s poll numbers were high. Now he Cain was again starting to recover and this woman pops up.

I am from Chicago and I have known how Axelrod operates for 40 years. He and Bialek lived in the same building and frequented the same gym. Is Obama campaign that unnerved by another black man in the race? Are they deathly afraid if their 95% monopoly on black voters is in peril against Cain?

I would say the GOP has probably been instrumental in damaging Mr. Cain’s campaign, rather than the other way around.
