After reports surfaced Tuesday morning that pizza magnate Herman Cain is reassessing his 2012 Republican presidential nomination bid, POLITICO obtained a statement from a Cain campaign spokesman regarding his candidates’ consideration of dropping out of the race.
“Yes,” the campaign spokesman said Tuesday when asked whether Cain would “definitely” remain in the race.
The clarification comes after the National Review Online released statements that Cain made in a conference call with campaign aides Tuesday morning. During the call, Cain made the following statements, “We have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud, in some people’s minds, as to whether or not they would be able to support us going forth,” Cain said.

If he can prove that someone is putting these women up to this, he wins big ...if he cant prove it ....the campaign slowly dies.
A lot of people have already moved on to Newt. With Cain staying in, it may only help Romney by splitting the conservative vote.
Even if Herman Cain may not gain back the front-runner position, he will help keep the others honest in this race.
Also, this will test the proposition, whether an American of African origin is to be considered on merit alone, or if the snipers from the Chicago Thug Machine will come out enough into the open to make themselves targets.
Because just about all the fire directed at Cain is coming from one source, David Axelrod, who is part of the crew that has tame house “folks” in their stable, and would very much like to keep that stereotype going.

I don’t think “sticking around” will do it for him...he needs to play a little smash mouth politics here... SOMEBODY has a blue dress...make her come up with dates, receipts, checks, something. Then it’s a win. “Sticking it out” won’t even get him a draw. I’m not saying he has to beat the snot out of her...but put her in a corner and make her put up or retract. The game is definitely on and there can be no draw.
Stay in the race, Cain. Even if ken5050 doesn’t like it. LOL!
