BREAKING!! Aide: Herman Cain will stay in the race
The State Column ^ | Nov 29, 2011 | Staff

After reports surfaced Tuesday morning that pizza magnate Herman Cain is reassessing his 2012 Republican presidential nomination bid, POLITICO obtained a statement from a Cain campaign spokesman regarding his candidates’ consideration of dropping out of the race.

“Yes,” the campaign spokesman said Tuesday when asked whether Cain would “definitely” remain in the race.

The clarification comes after the National Review Online released statements that Cain made in a conference call with campaign aides Tuesday morning. During the call, Cain made the following statements, “We have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud, in some people’s minds, as to whether or not they would be able to support us going forth,” Cain said.

My problem with Cain since day 1 is his lack of experience. He’s never even held public office. He would go into the White House with less experience than Obama went in. We can’t afford that.

First off, you're dead wrong about Cain's experience. He was the Chief Executive Officer of a major US corporation. That's equivalent on the job experience for the post he's seeking.

What's Newt's executive experience? After all, he's applying to be CEO of the largest corporate institution on the planet. Answer: None. He was a legislator, which might be equivalent to being a corporate board member who votes on company policy and planning.

As to equivalent experience, I don't think Newt's ever even been a regional manager, much less a CEO.

What major corporation would promote someone with zero management experience to the post of Chief Executive Officer? Answer: Few, if any.

That's the way things work in the real world, and conservatives are normally bright enough to see these things without being schooled on them. Let's not do like the Dems, and nominate an inexperienced legislator to be our president. As you can see, the results are always disastrous (see: BHO, LBJ, and JFK).

Your attacks are right out of the DNC playbook.

Cain NEVER said China didn’t have nukes. He has spoken of China’s military capabilities over the years, on his show and in his commentaries. Here is one from 2007:

“The U.S. should be less concerned about China’s economic potential than by the military threat it poses. Three Chinese spies were recently indicted in the U.S. for conspiring to steal numerous naval warship technologies. This summer China and Russia participated in a week-long joint military exercise. China’s build up of nuclear, military and space technologies to rival the U.S., and its saber-rattling over Taiwan’s independence, signals a commitment to more red, not green.”

It never ceases to AMAZE me that you think lying helps your candidate.

I will try and find the source for you...I read it several times earlier today...

Oh, to find proof and documentation to besmirch Herman Cain?

I'm sure that's a labor of love for ya Ken.

I actually like Cain’s hat/sunglass look. I was hoping that would make a fashion comeback. Those hats are cool.

He has asked for prayer.

We need to be in prayer for him, for the nation, for the election, and for God's will for this beloved land of ours.

If the GOP nominee is a RINO, there won't be much difference between what is going on right now with Comrade 0bama and the faux-Republican statist-puppet, it'll be like choosing between botulism and salmonella, they're both likely to kill ya.

So I suppose I write in the name of some dumb ass, what's your name anyhow?

Herman Cain has lived the other side of politics. As a CEO he has been the receiver of misguided laws and regulations. He knows what needs to be changed and how to do it. Cain is a reformer. That is why he will be a good President.

Herman Cain would change politics as we know it.

"Cult friend?” You can’t oppose Romney and Huntsman without attacking their religion? Wow, I thought America was a better place than this."

America is a GREAT place, where we are allowed to express our opinion on both politics and religion.

Romney's religion is a political issue. If a Satanist ran, his religion would be an issue because it speaks to his values and his judgement. If a Mormon runs, his religion is an issue because it speaks to his values and his judgement.

Romney won't get my vote because he is a democrat's democrat.

And Romney won't get my vote because he belongs to a false religion that believes Jesus was just a man who was promoted to Godhood by a God that also started out as a man who was promoted to Godhood, by yet another God that started out as a man, in an infinite chain of men promoted to Godhood. Romney and his false religion is not the role model that I want for the nation. In this regard, Obama would be better.
